I hope it's much sooner than that, and I also hope that LoHo remains a great teammate and does not become a popular sports talk host...

I missed the sentance on Larry. Mac, I know everyone at the Score seems to like the guy, but he's just not listenable. He tries way way too hard and doesn't have his own persona. He's constantly borrowing his from someone else.

Rick and Spaulding, you're both great people, so hug it out.

I don't doubt that. I'm sure he's great to you. He seems to kiss ass to important people at the station. You certainly would qualify. Why didn't you say he's a credit it his race?

So you're saying he has to be a producer for 10 more years? I'm sure he's thrilled to hear that. If you think he'll be the most popular in 2020, why wouldn't he be the most popular now? What's gonna happen in 10 years? Better race jokes?

dull and predictable message board = Score kicking ESPN's ass in the ratings...

I'm a LoHo fan for sure. He's an easy listen and the intentional and unintentional comedy is through the roof. Clearly there has to be some metrics out there that prove his popularity among the CSFMB isn't indicative of the opinion of the average score listener.

I think Jason Goff is already one of the more popular hosts in the city. Can't wait for him to get his own regular time slot.

There won't be "free" terrestrial radio in it's current high-cost format in 2020 (nor will there be satellite radio, it was a transitional business only--sorta like AOL or CompuServe were in terms of providing internet access).

The only thing propping up traditional broadcast radio is the installed base of legacy radios in most cars. By 2020, drivers will have access to whatever audio and video content they want via internet-enabled vehicles (with broadband dl speeds). When you make access to user-preferred content (streaming audio/video, podcasts, mp3 tunes, youtube, hulu etc) as simple as pushing a button and dialing up content via an ipod or similar simplistic device, users overwhelmingly choose their own custom content streams over force-fed free radio. Just as the easier it becomes to stream and control content on their TV's (via TiVO, DVR's, gaming systems, Net Flix on demand etc), users consume less and less force-fed broadcast tv.

Eh, I think Mac's throwing chum here. Those are three of the most common words used to describe the Danny Mac show over the last 6 months on dis here internets-message-board-forum thingamabob. It seemed to tip toward that the 2nd half of the NHL season and peak during the Blackhawks Stanley Cup run. And then continue with the constant vacation rotation since the Stanley Cup win.

For quality of sports talk/guests/information, Waddle and Silvy is a better broadcast--if you're stuck with nothing but a traditional radio. But various podcasts are the best sources of actual sports talk/information without the constant interruptions to cut to or, worse, read commercials. And if you really wanna listen to Danny Mac or Waddle and Silvy, you can get all their content in about half the time by downloading and listening to their podcasts--even less time than that if you work skip button a bit.

LoHo certainly seems popular based on the poll results from earlier today  .....FWIW I completely agree with the second half of this statement. Congrats on the increased ratings....and glad to hear the Heavy Fuel Crew will be back a few times a quarter maybe next time don't start off the show with a 40 minute Budweiser commercial

Wow. Can't even begin to tell you what a painful listen LoHo is Mac. Waaaay to overeager. Not really funny. Consistently tells Sox, Cubs, Bears and Bulls fans what this or that means and what they should be watching for as if he has some higher level of sports comprehension. Not as smart as he thinks he is.

Using your Goff prediction, wouldn't it be logical and make for a better listen if you gave the LoHo co-hosting spots to Jason?

LoHo is radio Eddie Haskell.

I wonder if a guy should be nervous about his job when his boss is talking about bringing over former co-workers and doesn't know how to spell his name.

It's hard to dislike a guy when he is rubbing you down! He had Sports Talk Coaches at H-F?

Holmes has done a good job of filling in for many hosts and actually does a good job when he is "PART" of a show.

When he is solo or running a show, he is a bad sports talk host.

Beckham has been real good all year on the Score. And kudos to Macpants for giving the kid props. Good times and bad times (you know I've had my share....), bacon has been there answering questions all year long. Says a lot about the kid.

Beckham's got "it." If he weren't a baseball player, he'd be making a bunch of money somewhere...selling cars, mortgages, whatever.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I have nothing to say that's not dull, boring, or predictable. I took the advice of many here and stopped listening to something I don't like. Consequently, I rarely have the Score on from 9-6 anymore (and NEVER from 9-1).

If the Score's ratings during that time are as spectacular as has been hinted at here, it just proves how out-of-touch I have become with the sports-talk listening crowd. (Of course, I liked Murph, so I should have already known I was in a different universe from most here.) Nine straight hours of the Coppock clone and his mind-numbing song parodies in the mornings and that crotchety, stuttering, old know-nothing in the afternoons is about as far from good programming as you can get in my warped little world.
