Northwestern takes on Central Michigan at Ryan Field (Evanston) on September 25. 11:00 AM start

Free tickets for CSFMBers who want to go (bring family and friends). I'm going to do my best to do a tailgate, but might be tough while I try to watch 4 kids. If you have kids, bring 'em. They can have fun at Wildcat Alley (they set up an area with those jumpy things and Bag-O games for the kids).

Ryan Field is easily reachable by public transportation (right off the Purple line). Ample parking on the side streets near Noyes street (short walk) or on the Campus parking lots (take the shuttle).

Don't feel shy if you want a big block of tickets... I'm guessing I can get some more if we need them. BIG Thanks to Aggravated Sox Fan and Dr. Ken who donated some tickets to the cause.

Time is actually TBA... I'm figuring a 11:00 AM start, but given the matchups that week, there is a chance that this game gets a better time slot.

I'm allergic to purple.

Do we know when they will officially announce the start time?

Make everyone sit in the order they signed up. You get to sit next to Doug while your wife is forced to "enjoy" the game next to crosscheck.

Seat ticket numbers for less well attended games are more like "suggestions" than assignments Hopefully people will get up move around and try to sit next to each other.

I would think it will be in the next few days. I think BTN announces their coverage plan first after ABC/ESPN pick up their games.

Just make sure you don't sit Mrs. Mud next to Free Ajent

I think you need about 3 more and you'll mirror the general attendance at an NU game (about 50%)

The price is right, HV... jump on in. No need to rub it in on attendance. Unlike Iowa City, there are some sports teams around here that garner a bit more attention.

That said, while the prospect of giving crosscheck crap for cat sitting is very tempting, I will have to partake in fun at my office instead that day.

What are two years that Iowa won bowl games in January since Northwestern has won any bowl game?

I'm just joking around, HV. I've got a bunch of friends who went to Iowa and they are all embittered by this match up the last several years. Each new season, they say, "This year we will beat NU!" It's been rough going for them for some time.

I'm just playing along. I got no beef with NU. I'm not Fitz and still have a hard on for a team from almost 20 years ago.

this is kinda tempting. 11am would be early even for me, and i get up early on saturdays...the drive would be long. but if it's pushed into the afternoon, i think i could do this.

i'd say yeah i'd go, esp cuz i'm in morton grove and i could get there easily without driving... but i think i'm doing a show in indianapolis that day so i reckon by the time it ends (~2pm) it would be too late
