I heard most of it- Scottie sounded friendly and happy to be there. He was rather chatty with his answers- it kinda sounded like every question asked was trying hard not to mention the M word, but he snuck into almost every question, but not many of the answers.
Coach Phil called in (from inside the NORAD bunker in Colorado on a really crappy cell phone he was carrying in a bucket of water) and threw a few bouquets Scottie's way- talked about his versatility on O and D, and leadership on all the teams(?). Some bland chatter about the Dream Team, Barkley, etc. It was better than I expected.

Unquestionably, I was taken quite naturally unawares that Scottie and myself were even supposed to have lunch on the day prior to this day.

Certainly, you can relay my apologies for not meeting him as I did not know.
