Sean started here trying to be a "local guy". Clearly, he calls in half the time anyways. From a Bristol, Conn/ESPN 100 "suits" marketing perspective, it may make sense to have him on, namely to help promote the ESPN "brand" across local (Chicago) and national avenues. However, he adds no overall value to the show. But more importantly, we have tons of LOCAL talent here in Chicago. Not trying to sound like a "Chicago" guy, but we aren't Fargo or Boise here!

Steve writes a poker column and writes a lame article or two for the Trib. Half of his articles look like he sent in questions and he edits the replies.

I'm not sure how a displaced non-local guy can be expected to talk Chicago area sports year-round by phoning it in? I think Sean does a good job under impossible cercumstances.Rosie is a rabid poker guy too.He cannot help him fill the void.What do you guys think? :?
