He said it was a done deal that someone was gone.

Would be shocked if Ozzie was gone with a contract in place.

What I think Cowley missed is that Ozzie didnt want to go into this year, with only a club option. Thus the Sox can prevent everyone else from talking to Ozzie while they might not have any intentions of giving him a new deal.

I'm ok with a castrated version of Ozzie coming back. An Ozzie that is motivated to win the baseball game being played that day and not worried about being the fucking GM or the pitching coach or the team doctor or a draft expert. An Ozzie that isn't worrying about tweeting or getting his own fucking reality show or his own fucking website. Just worry about managing the fucking team and leave the drama queen bullshit at home.

As to Ozzie...he has been here 9 seasons....7 the team has been under .500 for the second half...the only two years Guillen finished above .500 for the second half were 2005 and 2008.

I'm not surprised that Ozzie will be back in the White Sox dugout next year, but all this stuff about Guillen and the Cubs was absolutely bull. I didn't buy it for a second!

He was under contract for 1-2 more years with a team for whom he wanted to manage. Where's the story. He wanted job security. We all do. Great story.

I for one am not happy he is coming back. I am tired of his act and think the team would do better under another Manager with a different perspective.

Ozzie's sons are an embarassment to the team and to Ozzie. Those two need to STFU.
