Vernon Hills' Daniels commits to Notre Dame

DaVaris Daniels teetered between Miami and Notre Dame for weeks.

Now the Vernon Hills senior is the newest future member of the Fighting Irish.

Daniels, one of the top-ranked receivers in the country, orally committed to Notre Dame on Tuesday night.
"I actually used to hate Notre Dame to tell you the truth," Daniels said. "I never got the whole vibe. I went to the USC game last year and didn't get a good vibe. Then Coach (Brian) Kelly came in (and) the whole mood changed. It is great."

Daniels is a son of former Bear and current Washington Redskin defensive end Phillip Daniels.

Daniels is the 20th recruit for ND's class of 2011 and is a four-star recruit rated 156th nationally by Rivals.com.

well...he verbally committed. i don't know but, maybe he has to take the SAT a couple more times before he enrolls.

I've been meaning to see V.H. play as the H.S. is 5 minutes from my house.
V.H. hasn't been scored on at all this season. 5 shutouts in 5 games and is averaging 48.4 pts per game.... :shock:
Daniels averages 24.8 by himself as WR....

that's some crazy shit even for high school.

He hasn;t qualified yet. Fucked up his Freshmen/Sophomore year with grades, but has done a good job since playing catchup. He takes the ACT in October.

Actually Jeff S would have been a decent NFL wideout. That might have been a case where a guy should have chose football.
