I still can not fucking believe that the Bears finally went after a tier 1 QB in Cutler, then proceeded to spend a ton of money on Defensive players & nothing to improve the OL or WR. It makes no sense whatsoever.
Even a casual football fan knew the Bears OL & WR's weren't good enough.

Teddy, Jerry, & Lovie will get what they deserve. Fuckers...

Marc Bulger or any other backup wouldn't have made a difference in last night's game. You hit it in the second paragraph. It's the OL that was the problem.

They didnt. They benched him because he was playing like 10 snaps a game.

But Jeff Dickerson accurately predicted Meatball fans thinking he was benched for the drop.

So far the list is...

Good Call JD :thumleft:

JD is incorrect. Dez is the Bears best blocking TE & Lovie decided that he wouldn't play against the Giants. You don't bench your best blocking TE.

They were 3-1 last year

The point is that Bulger is at least still in the league & knows the Martz Offense. He was also a starting QB on some very good teams & played at a high level for 4 or 5 years.
Todd freaking Collins is a rag armed career backup who went 10 fucking years between starts, & doesn't know the Martz offense.
Once again Jerry & Lovie prove that they are the dumbest duo in the NFL. There isn't another team in the NFL who would sign Collins. The Bears are better off with Hanie starting than Collins. Hanie is at least mobile & certainly more athletic than Collins & hass a much better arm.

I don't know watching Todd Collins try to throw the ball was pretty funny and I definately started laughing at the hasn't thrown a pick in 13 years and then him getting absolutely crushed combo platter.

You're absolutely right. I was wrong to joke. But at least they can come away from the loss with some momentum to carry over into next week.

Actually, time + tragedy = comedy...By the way, I wish Kevin Matthews were still on the air in Chicago. He'd be calling Halas Hall right now leaving messages with the receptionist up there every time the Bears lose...

Very interesting breakdown of all 9 sacks. Especially pointing out the helmet to helmet shot Jay took for the 3rd sack where his ear pad popped out.

One thing to consider about this reeling Giants team. This is very similar to how they were doing a couple years ago. I wouldn't count out Tom Coughlin just yet. In 2007, the N.Y. Giants were 4-9 in their last 13 games going into week 3 of the 07 season. They went on to go 14-4 to end their 07 season. Will it happen again? Doubtful.

I think they might be done with Coughlin. His style would grind on a team after a while and I think they are reaching that point.

People said that exact thing in 2007. He was one of the top hot seat candidates. I don't necessarily disagree with you, but would not be shocked if Coughlin did it again.

So about this Spaulding... :)

I've been wrong a fucking lot this year. It's difficult for me to see though my anger. I'm pissed at the Bears.

There is still time for them to fail and I hope it happens. Giants will probably go on a tear like the Steelers did after playing the bears and meet the colts in the superbowl. I'd lose my damn mind.
