I have to buy it. I hate myself for falling victim to clever advertising, but MJ on the cover? Relive his greatest moments?

There goes $60.

Has there been a good basketball game since Magic vs. Bird?

Has anyone played a basketball game on Wii? I have that system mostly for entertaining. If I got a real system, I would never have time for, anything. But I really want to play this game.

NBA Jam also came out today for the Wii. I would recommend getting that game as opposed to NBA2K11 for the Wii.

Get a real system. It makes drinking a lot more fun (especially around 2 in the morning)

I know myself too well Boyd. If I had one, I would't do anything else. No offense Home Slice.

Omni-Play Basketball (Commodore 64/128)
Best overall basketball game ever, all things being relative. Full 5-on-5, full seasons and stats recording (incl'g last 9 years' historical data), infinite seasons ... way, way ahead of it's time.

Jeez, why don't you just tell LipidSlice that Don Henley is gay, and newer Metallica sucks while you're at it.

Let the record show, I like and have zero issues with Lipid. Just breaking balls. Now back to our scheduled dumb.

Don Henley and Metallica are easy ways to bust Lipids balls. He's a good sport.

I want to buy this but Im not sure I would have alot of time to play it. I still havent really played much NHL or Halo. Im still digging madden too much.

Ign.com gave it a 9.5 and the video review guy said it was the best sports game ever made. Really.

well NBA2K10 was awful without the "upgrades" that you had to download which i can't do since i don't have live.

so if there are still the same old glitches then eff this.

but if they have andrew bynum floating in the middle of the court...hmmm....

Can I ask anybody that got this game, and I will say I haven't got one since 2007 or 08, but is the shooting a little better, I know you have to hold the shoot button a little, but when I play if it's not a dunk, it's usually a missed shot.

So any info would be appreciated.

I just couldn't get used to the idea of no home screen... the lack of menu made me trade it in... I know that that is sad...

Picked this up last night, and I will agree: it is easily the best sports game I have played. Hands down.

I love the fact that it starts out with the '91 Bulls team enterance, along with the same music and everything. You're playing the Lakers in the Finals, and Magic Johnson is about to whip your ass. The motion caption of all the old players is incredible.

As far as Jordan goes, the detail is ridiculous. You can do all of his classic moves: the one-handed ball fake; dribbling between your legs twice during the 63-point Boston game; the fade-away; even the "OH. A SPECTACULAR MOVE. BY MICHAEL. JORDAN" lay-up against the Lakers.

Just an awesome, awesome game.

are there still 35+ turnovers per game? that was always my biggest problems. never had a problem with the graphics or the soundtrack or the association stuff. but some of the gameplay was downright pathetic.

I'm definitely getting this after work tomorrow. I liked 2k10 and heard this is way better.

rented NBA Jam. Was immediatley frustrated by the controls, I guess they require a new controller. But when you get into the gameplay, spot on, right on down to the original voice.

I'm gonna hit Blockbuster up tomorrow for NBA2k11. Loved 2k10.

I will admit the turnovers might be a little on the irritating side. However, these came for me whenever I would try to throw an unrealistic long pass across the court; so perhaps this is actually MORE realistic now?
