So I know a game watching get together has been discussed on a couple of occassions, so I am going to throw out an idea for the Redskins game in 2 weeks. It's a noon kick, and as a starting idea, I am going to suggest Gatsby's in Arlington Heights. 80 tv's, 50 cent wings, Sunday Ticket, etc, no music playing during the game (for Woodridge Ryan).

Anyone that wants in, cool. If anyone has a suggestion of a better place, I all ears.

Sounds like a good time. However, I must attend the game or risk losing my moniker.

Or we could use a centrally located place....as close to downtown as possible.

So, it's cool to be socializing with CSFMBers again out and about? A revitalization of sorts? No silent protests?

I might be up for this.

Central location would be better as RPB said. 8)

Joe's on Weed

I think Near north is as central as we can get it.

I get you what mean Jeff/RPB, but that wouldn't work. The Redskins game is at home. No way I'm driving anywhere near downtown if the Bears are at home.

The best 'centrally' located place would actually probably be in like the Elmhurst area. Even Real Time Sports in Elk Grove (290 & Thorndale) seems to work.

I'd be cool with RTS in EGV and hey, might even get to be in the presence of major DMS contributor, ES.

Who is Joe and why is he on weed? :eye: Exhibit X

Possibly the Captain morgan club at Wrigley? I went to a party there and it was awesome.

That said I don't want the disappointment to kill anyone but I most likely can't make it. I'm in a wedding the night before and probably will be too tired the next day.

right after this post i'm going to start up the free ajent thread in the R.I.P. board...

and wow, palatine and rand? that's arlington heights in semantics only... if it was more downtown arlington heights or towards the bumpin city of schaumpton (schaumburg) i'd even consider popping over for the spectacle, but seeing as it's squarely the public's responsibility to transport me around, i reckon the virtual-palatine experience would be a bit much.

Why not just have it in Lake Geneva and get it as far away from everyone as possible?

Better still ... road-trip to Lipid's .... unannounced, of course.

One other thing people might want to think about is accesiblity to public transit so those who want to not have to worry about driving home (to be able to drink without worrying) it's not a problem.

She will be at home making sure dinner is ready if she knows what's good for her.
