So are any of these series going to go longer than 3 games?

I got a question... Does MLB continue random PED testing throughout the playoffs? Id imagine if you were caught before, it would be automatic.

I tend to agree, Zach. You can lay the blame of last night's loss on Dusty's shoulder's. Bad managing lost the game for the Reds last night (and Wed. night).

IAN KINSLER FOR MAN OF THE YEAR!!!!

and who was his first high five when he hit the dugout? andres blanco. just think how much better the cubs could have been if he was on the top step greeting people after scoring runs...

wow, and ron washington just completely mismanaged his bullpen and allowed tampa to take a 3-2 lead in the top of the 8th.

he pulled colby lewis after 85 pitches in the 5th due to 5 walks, then has been tearing through his bullpen, who has allowed all three of tampa's runs.

my dreams of seeing ron washington do a like of coke off of a shirtless shitfaced josh hamilton to celebrate a world series championship have potentially taken a hit.

this thread is nice and roomy cuz i think everyone else here is busy analyzing hawks game #2 or some college football. i'll continue my dialogue with myself =D

Rangers have to hope for a big 9th. Nolan Ryan can't be happy. Isn't his big thing not worrying about pitch counts?

indeed you are right, as he's more about oldschool conditioning. i reckon he would've made a great junction boy.

that said, wow... way to have your foot on the throat of the tampa bay rays (up 2-1 entering T8) and now going into the bottom of the 9th it's 6-2 rays, with insurance homeruns by carl crawford and then carlos pena in T9.

i'm quite honestly unfamiliar with texas' pen, but o'day looked good but he was only up there for one batter. then he went to feliz... feliz was used in game 1, but i was weary of darren oliver doing 1+ IP, and sure enough he'll end up with the L hung on him barring a miraculous comeback.

also, vladimir guerrero has lead off in three of his four at-bats... that means josh hamilton isn't living up to the m-v-p chants. i'm going to be really interested to see if tampa takes this momentum and runs with it, cuz they looked pretty much down and dead and cutleresque in their body language... now they're dancing gatorade boomboxing it and even tho tommy hunter was 13-4 3.73ERA i don't trust that tubby bastard.

BTW TBS I FUCKING GET IT, ***NEW YORK*** IS PLAYING NEXT. IT'S AS THE BRITISH SAY OXYMORONICALLY, A BIT MUCH, TO HAVE "GAME BREAKS" DROP IN DURING THE MIDDLE OF AN AT BAT IN A THEN-TIED GAME TO SHOW ME DEREK JETER SMILING WITH JOE GIRARDI AND REMIND ME THAT THE YANKEES ARE UP NEXT. SERIOUSLY WE KNOW THIS GAME IS DOGSHIT TO YOU BUT STILL AT LEAST RESPECT THE FLOW OF THIS GAME AND NOT TAKE ME OUT TO SEEING ALEX RODRIGUEZ WARMUP AND SAY "TWINS/YANKEES IN 20 MINUTES" 5-10 TIMES OVER THE SPAN OF THE LAST TWO INNINGS. MOST CABLEBOXES HAVE BUILT IN TV-GUIDES NOW. THAT IS ALL.

ahem... well the twins look to be going out like bitches. 5-0 T5 and if they've got a shot at hughes it's this inning as he had to sit for damn near a halfhour whilst the yankees batted in the last inning...

oh and joe girardi is just bleeding cubbie blue right now. as i hear him interviewed here he just sounds like a despondent guy who needs to escape the thankless world of perpetual-title-contention and come back home to do something SPECIAL. i mean titles 29 and 30 and beyond are just meaningless, you know?

Nice win by the Rays and now they have my guy Wade Davis on the mound tomorrow. This thing's going back to TB!

This Yankees series is a big time dick kicking.

How the hell is Boone Logan a productive member of a team that is likely to play in the World Series?

two words: dave eiland. ever heard of him? neither had i, but he is the yankees' pitching coach. the man is such a genius the yankees hide him from everyone's knowledge so he doesn't get rudy jaramilloed out of town. someone has to teach javvy vazquez how to turn around quickly without pulling a muscle when giving up a HR, you know.

I thought Dr. Coop was the genius who could ressurect careers.

Game over. Another excellent showing by tbe Twins in the postseason. What is that, 12 straight losses? Just another example of Minnesota being a team built for tbe regular season. I do feel bad for Thome, but this was what was expected of him this year.

I'm surprised Elmhurst Steve hasn't told us his Twins now have no possibility of winning the ALDS.

I've tried to watch some of this years playoff games, but It has been confirmed that I have little to no interest in them.

That's because he knows the Twins have home field advantage, and he's not ready to bury this dog quite yet.

Braves bullpen blows, as they blow the save. Heyward, Lee, and Conrad are burtal. Heyward is still looking for his first hit.

Another nice win by the Rays. My guy Wade Davis and his gigantic elephant balls got the job done. Hopefully the Rays can figure out how to beat Cliff Lee and move on to the ALCS against those damn Yankees.

Riddle me this, Batman...Why is the retiring Bobby Cox starting Brooks Conrad at second base for the Braves? I thought Brooks was a third baseman for starters, but I know that Chipper Jones got injured and ditto for Martin Prado after Martin started the year at second. Besides, Brooks committed 3 errors last night in their 3-2 Game 3 loss resulting in the Giants now 1 win away from a date with the Phillies Saturday in the NLCS.

But he committed those errors AFTER Cox penciled him in as the starting second baseman.
