It could mean something to the Packers depending on what the Giants do. A Giant loss and a Packer win could mean the Packers are in. It's not definite from what I understand however. Things like common opponet reccords could come in and that won't be known until all the games on Sunday are done. So Atlanta or St. Louis, if they win, could get it over the Packers even with a Giants loss. It's complicated.

But NBC rolled the dice that it will matter for the Packers Sunday night. Plus the Bears are always a good draw nationally.

As a Bears fan, I don't mind having another SNF appearance, but was this the best game they could have put on considering the Packers playoff spot will most likely be gone before this game is even on ?

Were there any other important options here ?

This could be Brett Favre's last game. I'm sure we'll see a tearful goodbye by Madden.

Madden may jump out of the pressbox at the end of the game, so definitely tune in.

Lovin this move. Now instead of gettin blitzed early Sunday and not making it midnight, will be able to party later in the day and should have no problem makin it to midnight. The only other possible game to switch would have been the Jags/Chiefs game.

I'm definitely loving it, because I'll be in Kentucky, and I was worried that they wouldn't be on there; now it's guaranteed they will.

Atlanta vs Philly would have been a good game to go to. Yes Philly is in the playoffs but they need to win to be division champs and get a home game for the first round. Atlanta could still get in but they could have been eliminated by the time the night game rolled around.

I think you guys bringing up the Atlanta/Philly game is the better choice because of the division stakes being up for grabs - at least there is meaning here.
