DAMN. the rangers' strategy is to get burnett out of the game... 90 pitches. there was a 3-0 get me over fastball with little movement on it and they had cruz sit on it. next pitch 5-4 but he's too quick to pull the DP. why not have the guy steal a base, unless you're worried that the hammy problems that plagued him all year are still there?

how about a great moment in jewish athletic history, kinsler?! nope. flyout to 8 but nice baserunning by cruz... man wtf happened there washington?~!!? you were absolutely murdering david price on 3-0 counts in game 1 of the ALDS and you've got burnett losing control and you've got cruz sitting 3-0 and they don't want to fuck with him and he could have launched that 3-0 pitch so with joba starting to warm up ok maybe you want burnett out figuring that you'd have 1.something IP before rivera would come in for a 1+IP save and yet... kinsler flies out on teh first pitch. fucking inconsistent.

This is utterly hilarious. You have a pitcher with shaky control, and you intentionally walk a player.

And people wonder why I want Girardi gone.

Woo ya!

now here comes the gambit... it's one thing to lose a game... but when you're up and holland is going to likely enter ~2/+ innings of work and you've got a lead and you can bet your sweet ass we're gonna have the darren squad (oliver and o'day) come in and try to erect THE BRIDGE TO NEFTALI FELIZ... man.

i never thought i'd really miss frank francisco so much. i'm going to throw a chair into the stands in his honor tonight

that was a hell of a swing by a fat man though. i just saw the replay and he was sawed off and did his best vladimir guerrero impression to shoot that one down the left field line. not quite the greatness when circa 01/02 in a expos/marlins game dempster busted vlad a foot inside and vlad hit the ball like six inches off of his thumbs down the leftfield like for a HR and dempster said of vlad "that pitch was exactly where i wanted it. that guy is god in baseball cleats"

would you have went to joba in that inning? i don't know how the bridge to rivera is doing these days, but the prospects of boone logan and especially robinson can't be too high after last night.

He sure overmanaged that. Should have brought Boone in for the lefty if he was going that route, no idea why he didn't just count himself lucky AJ got him this far and taken him out

whoa a david robinson sighting? this is either ballsy and crafty or plum retarded.

altho elvis andrus just got pwned rather systematically. maybe he's "hungry" with that fire and pashin

/me smells the familiar odor of vladimir guerrero leading off another inning, that is, unless boone logan can regain some of that WHITE SOX PRIDE. GRINDER RULE #37: ONCE A FAILED WHITE SOCK ALWAYS A FAILED WHITE SOCK

YEAH! GRINDER RULE 37 UPHELD!!! we are one step closer to ron washington doing a line off of a drunk shirtless josh hamilton.

at least vlad doesn't have to lead off his third/+ inning this game

to be fair, that was just a long fly ball... that swing doesn't inspire the archetypical image of gladitorial warriors establishing their lore and legend for the whole of human history... it was rather reminiscent of homeruns hit there last year.

boone logan's linescore tonight: 0 IP 1H 1ER 0BB 0K 1HR

white sox baseball: it's black and white

whoo! vladometer is at .294 and the slugging percentage gets a much needed bump.

to continue my theme of white sox baseball (winnin ugly): DON'T STOP NOW, BOYS!!!

no, the hell yes is only reserved for when buehrle hits a homerun.

there are traditions, mr. fontaine, and then there are white sox traditions, please know them =D

that said, wow. this is kind of amazing... i'm watching the death of the 2010 new york yankees right before my very eyes... too bad brenly isn't on teh call otherwise he could point out how this looks like a dead-ass team.

the rangers are borrowing from the whitesox and soulja boy when they share the passion and show the swagger.

Keep throwing those leftys against Hamilton, it really gimps him. Best part will be seeing that fat tub Sabbathia lose the finale.

yeah yeah i shant underestimate the yankees. barring a game1esque bullpen blowup tonight, they're going to throw CC and then hughes/pettitte out there, although the rangers did get to CC. and even with tex likely out for the rest of the series i still don't underestimate this offense. they haven't even played the austin kearns card yet.
