Yes I realize I'm a fan of a team that's sucking the root just as much, maybe more. I don't need reminding of that, and I'm not saying what I'm about to say as if to say "MY TEAM IS BETTER LOL!"
This NFC has got to be one of the most historically bad NFC's of all time, even worse than '06, and the Bears have one of the better defenses. The fact that their offensive game plan is such a highwire act and so feast-or-famine-but-mostly-famine is just brutal to watch. I know you guys feel the same. I'm sure it was exciting to see Moore run that interception back for a touchdown. I rolled my eyes. This is all this team is. A series of tricks and treats and no real gameplan. And fortunately, finally, Lovie's being exposed for it.
My own team is being exposed, too. I'm glad the Browns made my team pay for the shit THEY got away with last year. It's all about karma.
But anyway--the defense is hardly to blame for this loss. The Redskins played RIGHT INTO the hands of the Bears. And the '01 team at least took advantage of that. They were noble in that regard. Yeah maybe they were overperforming, but they were fun to watch.
This is just horrendous. That offensive line is hardly even Junior Varsity for God's sake. This is a team that should be taking over the really bad NFC. Instead they're playing down to the level of these teams...the Redskins played horribly today. And the Bears just played one note more horribly.
On a more general note, the turnovers today were unbelievable. Have the players lost all focus...or just stopped caring? This is the worst excuse of a professional sports league I've seen since I've been watching professional football. Is the lockout getting into everybody's head?
