This may be the year for me to finally bite the bullet and try one. Never
had a McRib in my life.

The McRib is perfect. That's right, perfect.

Nothing needs to be added or taken away. You can add some fries if you like, but that's it. Just fries. Don't fuck it up.

You should also have two of them at a time if you are a real man. If not, have one, and work your way up to being less lame.

If for any reason you feel the need to remove pickles or onions or add......mayo, or something of that nature. DO NOT ORDER THE MCRIB. Order an angus snack wrap and a parfait or something....

I will be leaving in T-minus 30 minutes for not one but TWO McRibs for lunch.
I will post a brief review of my experience. I sure hope I like them or I am
going to be pissed.

Isn't the concept of the Mcrib like a tasty bbq rib sandwich? The thought of slathering mayo on fine pork ribs makes me want to vomit. The sauce, bun, onion and pickles suit this sandwich perfectly.

It was a joke.

By the way, if you're thinking fine port ribs when trying the McRib...you'll be...well, it's not fine pork ribs. However, it is awesome.

Thank god man. I enjoy an occasional Mcrib. You are so right. It comes up lame compared to the real thing. For a couple minutes I trick myself into believing differently.

Ok, the verdict is in on the McRib from camp T-Bone.

Packaging -- Does the job, kind of flimsy but definitely better than trying
to eat this out of some wax paper. Also, why don't I get Monopoly pieces
with this meal? I don't play the game but still would have been nice. I like
peeling them off and seeing what I got as much as the next guy.

Bun -- This was good. I liked the fact that the riblet sticks out on either
side, almost subliminally telling you this sandwich is too much for any bun
to try to hold.

Meat, onions and pickles -- This is where I was a bit disappointed. I thought
the quantity of onions on mine were severely lacking. Also when I popped the
top, all three pickles were all on one side of the sandwich. If I hadn't reorganized
them, I would have been jipped on half of the McRib experience.

Sauce -- Not sure what kind of sauce this is but it was pretty good. I was
wishing it had a bit more kick to it. If I had some Tabasco I would have been
tempted to drop some in there.

Overall I found the McRib to be a nice change of pace from the usual fare at
McDonalds. The sandwich isn't nearly as big as you'd hope. If you want a
more filling meal, I would recommend buying two as Krazy McIvan recommends.
With all the hype and buildup I was expecting a bit more than what I got but
as I mentioned before, it was a nice changeup from the usual. I'd get it again
and hopefully will before it rides off into the sunset once again.

i've never understood the "crave"; except that i think it has to do with the fact that it's not available year round at most mcdonald's. when i worked there back in '95, i will admit the BBQ sauce made the joint smell great. that and breakfast were just a treat, as opposed to the dead-after-lunch times when it just smelled like stale grease and fries.

pickles on "pork" riblets just makes absolutely no sense. but the real problem is this sandwich is bare as hell.

the last one i had was probably about 7 years ago and it WAS in wax paper, smashed and took like 2 minutes to eat because it was so compacted.

The entire point of McDonalds Monopoly is to get people to purchase things they might not usually get. 'Large' instead of 'small'...more expensive items...or going to McDonalds as opposed to Burger King.

Now, with McRibs...the people ordering them are going to McDonalds for a specific reason. Youve already sold them on the purchase...they don't need to entice you with monopoly.

Marketing.

Hey, I still have the right to be disappointed, damn it !! :o Screw the marketing folks.
I'm a hungry American consumer who wants his Monopoly pieces.

I do the opposite. Onions don't agree with me.
