They called that E-3? That's a tough error on Howard.

edit: the official scorer changed it to E-5.

You can't watch strike 3 like that. Who are you? Derrek Lee? Anyways, Fox is not going to be happy about the advertising dollars they are going to be getting this World Series.

So the last outs in the ALCS and the NLCS were made by 2 guys making a combined $50 million taking strike threes.

Looks like a brutal World Series. The Giants do nothing for me. Their offense is pretty shitty to watch, besides Posey. Bud has to want to hang himself right about now.

Schmitty, when the Giants finished off the Phillies Saturday night in Game 6 to punch their first World Series ticket since 2002, leave it to 670 The SCORE's "JoeO & Rock Show" to immediately start playing the sound of crickets. Those guys are not alone in either thumbing their noses at a Rangers/Giants' WS starting in San Francisco Wednesday night, or predicting the lowest rated WS in TV history. Those guys may be right...

yeah well this series is a must for us vlad fans.... that said i expect ratings lows to trump 2005. will my rangers allow me to get the world series title i technically can't get with anyone other than vlad, AND allow me to be the one guy on the board who picked the world series winner correctly? stay tuned, true believers.

once vlad retires i'll be completely clear of rooting interests and just be able to enjoy baseball for the spectacle that it is. a title and a HOF berth = tits for me.

2006 already trumped '05 as the lowest rated World Series ever. Something aboot that Tigers-Cardinals matchup failed to captivate the nation.

And because of the low TV ratings, that title doesn't count for the Sox or Cards

I was just pointing out a fact Frank. I don't give a shit that few people watched when the Sox won the World Series. I watched, I went, and I loved it.

The '08 WS between the Phils and Rays is the lowest rated ever. I don't think this one will go lower than that. There are some intriguing pitching matchups and feel good storylines that will make people tune in.

Giants in 6.

The GLORIOUS fans of the GLORIOUS franchise harassing their prize free agent targets wife:

"Fans' treatment of Cliff Lee's wife at Yankee Stadium was ugly, but it might not have hurt the Yankees' recruitment of one of the game's top left-handed pitchers.

During the AL Championship Series games in New York between the Yankees and Rangers, fans were extremely rude to Kristen Lee, spitting and throwing beer in her direction and shouting obscenities, according to USA Today.

The Yankees need to retool after an ALCS defeat. Tell us which ones you'd keep -- and which ones you'd cut.
Vote: Take 'Em or Trash 'Em?

But the treatment apparently did not change how the Lees feel about New York.

"The story is not an issue to us," Lee's agent, Darek Braunecker, told ESPNNewYork.com. "Her experience in New York is certainly a non-issue. She enjoys New York as much as anyone enjoys New York."

Lee starts Game 1 of the World Series against the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday after helping Texas beat New York in the ALCS in six games. But there has been widespread speculation that the Yankees will make a serious run at signing Lee when he becomes a free agent after the season.

That didn't stop Yankees fans from harassing Lee's wife.

"The fans did not do good things in my heart," Kristen Lee said, according to the newspaper. "When people are staring at you, and saying horrible things, it's hard not to take it personal."

Kristen Lee sat in the visiting family section, according to USA Today. Braunecker said the Lees know that fans can get rowdy at any stadium and that the Bronx crowd was no worse than others.

On the flip side of Kristen Lee's bad experience in New York is her close relationship with CC Sabathia's wife, Amber. They have been close since Sabathia and Cliff Lee played together in Cleveland.

Cliff Lee and Sabathia are friends as well. The Sabathias and Lees already were discussing where the Lees should live when it appeared as if the Yankees were going to make a trade for Lee in July.

The Yankees are expected to make Lee their No. 1 free agent target. He will likely receive a deal in the five-to-seven year range at $100 million to $150 million. It also could be Lee's final major contract; he turns 33 during next season.

6:59 first pitch. Another bonus for not having an east coast team in the World Series. :D

Lee left everything up and the Giants made him pay. He couldn't make it out of the 5th. 5-2 G-Men.

The over/under on this game was 5.5. They just about tripled it. So much for that great pitching duo prediction for this one.

Texas bullpen is bad. Now the Giants need to burn their closer in a 7 run game.

Now I hope it doesn't happen for the Giants.

But for seriously, Juan Uribe for MVP?
