Christopher Nolan announced the title of his next Batman movie: The Dark Knight Rises.

He also squashed the rumor that the Riddler will be included in the storyline. However, his casting team is interviewing numerous actresses for a role which may indicate a Catwoman inclusion.

Catwoman has no place in this new franchise. Name sounds kinda gay too.

If Catwoman is in, there is a chance they just wouldn't call her Catwoman. She could just be a burgler who becomes Wayne's love interest. No Bane, that could get kind of silly...

Edit: I just realized he did make appearances in a few of the recent movies.

Little lame on the title. Catwoman as originally put in the comic is not as lame as presented so far in film. In one of the alternate universes she and Wayne marry and have a daughter who becomes a masked crimefighter.

It might also be Poison Ivy. I would like it to be Riddler or even someone else just no Bane.
What would be cool would be a little bit o crossover for the Justice League movie , if it where me I would intro Green Arrow.

You never really see Two-Face's dead body at the funeral... plus, the fall wasn't from THAT high. Plus there is that whole "Die a hero, or live long enough to become a villain." I think he will live long enough to become a villain.


I think Nolan purposely left it open. Two-Face wasn't used nearly enough in the 2nd movie, so my guess is he comes back.

Somebody who knows way more about this shit than me told me that the nerdy accountant guy from Wayne Industries in the last movie is going to be Riddler. His name is "Mister Reese", which, when said quickly, sounds like "mysteries". I guess there is some precedent for that name for the Riddler in old comics. He also seems to be setting himself up as a bad guy by trying to bribe Batman to keep his identity a secret, so it makes sense. Then again, I don't know why the director would deny that he's going to be the villain. Maybe there is a plan to make him the villain in the next movie after this one?

Or without Chris O'donnell reprising his role as Robin, he survived Val Kilmer and Clooney, fuck it, why not Bale?

Pretty big announcement....Hardy as Bane (probably the skillful tactician version from the comics, not the huge monster) and Hathaway as Catwoman's alter-ego....but maybe NOT Catwoman?
