you nailed it, dude, this guy annoys the living shit out of me. also he's down with those tim and eric motherfuckers who are just not funny... i mean, i'm purportedly an intelligent person, i get odd humor for the most part (chris morris' jam even works for me... and that is way the fuck out there) but the tim and eric shit tries too hard and delivers too little. this guy (hey zack you were da bomb in tru calling!) just happened to be in a big movie right place/right time and now we're supposed to care about him because he's illuminating pixels on our telescreens? ha. nice beard, asshat.

This. I can't for the life of me figure out why the hell Tim and Eric are supposed to be funny. I get that they are trying to go for some sort of avant garde uncomfortable humor but I just don't find it amusing at all. There are quite a few things on Adult Swim that baffle me similarly though.

that's why i love the boondocks. that show delivers, altho supposedly aaron mcgruder was waffling around like this might have been the last season (wasn't there a 1-2 year gap between seasons 2 and 3?). i also dislike that charles nelson(?) reilly dude who was "doctor steve blume" or something... he spawned off of tim and eric, he's will ferrell's buttbuddy in movies that never really worked for me either. he's another "trying too hard" motherfucker who just doesn't work for me.

i've had people assure me that tim and eric is some sort of comedic genius that clearly i'm too stupid to understand, that it's in the subtlety and the aforementioned "uncomfortable" moments where the brilliance lies... but like, i'm from teh school of george carlin. say some incisive shit that digs deep into our day-to-day fallacies and how we view life, get me thinking: fine. just make me laugh please.

For years I have been saying people will find him to be funny as all hell, I gave him the same career as Jack Black. The guy would have a boom and then always be around.

If you ever saw him do standup years ago, his stuff was always so strange, but you had to admit it was creative as all hell.
