even tho it's kind of hard to find, you can find a torrent of the nba elite 11 ps3 game if you're one of the chosen 31337 who had the requisite nutsack to mod your system

And not be able to play GT5? Pass.

dude, if you're 31337 enough to have a modded ps3/xbox360 you're also owning another for the formal/online shit.

it aint like it was back in the day when you modded your ps1/saturn for $50 and could go out and copy/import games like it wasn't shit.

point in fact, teh saturn pro action replay or whatever was $50 and allowed me to buy x-men vs street fighter, marvel super heroes vs street fighter, and radiant silvergun without anything else. that's an epic win.

Fuck me for ever buying a Sega Saturn. I've had pretty good luck not getting the shitty consoles (never bought a 3DO, a NeoGeo, or a Sega CD), but I whiffed on the Saturn. Yeah, I had a Dreamcast and that flamed out, but it was a good system at least. I still play Streetfighter Alpha 3 on it every once in a while.

it's a shame sega couldn't submit a popular console after the genesis. i wonder if creating that frankenstein monster with the 32X and CD add-ons turned people off for future console endeavors from sega.

the dreamcast was great; it just never got to develop a good game library. the graphics and controls were fantastic. and it was quite innovative. i still think there should be a console with a keyboard.

I thought the Dreamcast was much better than the Playstation 2 when they were both released. The 2K sports games were amazing for the time period, and some other titles that they released around that time were also great. It's a shame that Sony really dominated that time period of gaming once the PS2 came out. Once the original Xbox came out, Sega just couldn't compete with both Sony and Microsoft.

Sega shot itself in the foot with the release of the Saturn. I remember seeing the ads for "Saturnday" and how people were really looking forward to it...then Sega gets on stage at E3 and says "actually, it's going to be in the stores now"...of course, there were barely any games for it and stores were taken by suprise. What little head start they got on the Playstation was greatly overshawdowed by the damage done to the Sega brand.

I don't share the same love for the Dreamcast that others seem to have. It was decent, but it didn't feel ike it was on par with the PS2 and Xbox. More like a half step up from the Saturn.

I remember day one of the N64 launch. I believe they had two games. One of them was one of the greatest games of all time and the other was fun enough to survive until they got some more games out.

Soul Calliber on Dreamcast was the business. Loved that game. The 2K football games were cool. The little analog cartrige/memory card thingy you had to put in the controller was a little strange, but so what.

Damn shame what happened to that thing....damn shame...

have a place down here in Dekalb that I've been able to get a NES, SNES, dreamcast, GameCube, N64 and PS3 at good prices.

The N64 was a great system it was just too expensive because cartridges are much more expensive than cd's.

Yeah, 70 bucks was a bit steep. Also sucked that those cartridges could only hold a fraction of the data a CD could...

...now that I think about it, the fact the N64 had as many good games as it did was impressive considering the limitations the medium provided.

Never in football, and Live was THE game until around 2004 or 2005.

2k Football was better than Madden....well at least 2k3 was better in both football and basketball.

Maybe they should get started sooner.

It's always a "we're not going to be done with this in time" excuse. Like a kid that waits 'til sunday to write do their science project...
