Had the show on for almost an hour this morning and it was practically all Notre Dame, all the time. Wow, every play, every player, every coaching decision in the Sugar Bowl was reviewed and dissected with a thoroughness seldom heard except for Bear games.

Now, granted, I'd rather hear that than what dog is up for adoption or who Mike drank with at Gibson's last night, but I'm just wondering: was the decision to devote SO much attention to this game driven by the fact that their newsreader person is an ND alum and a fan? If so, that's a curious way to program the show. I really didn't feel a huge pre-game buzz in Chicago about this contest, but maybe I missed it.

It's not just North, it's the entire media. True, there wasn't much pre-game buzz on the game, but our Chicago media feel the need to cover ND games as if they were a local team.

You gotta reach out to all those catlicks!

Love em or hate em, ND is the most popular college football team in Chicago, that's why.

Pretty much, Rocks....hard to argue that.

You guys have to admit that it was another fine performance by the nation's most OVERRATED team. Thank God they get to play Army, Air Force and Navy.
I don't like North, but he sure was right this morning. The team and the coaching are so far overrated, it isn't even funny. Unfortunately, they let the really ignornant one, Annie, speak. God is she STUPID.

Is it possible that the show this morning with the ND focus could have been sort of fixed by North to include Annie in an actual sports conversation ?

He did in the first half hour this morning and she is just plain brainless. If he avoided her later, it was justified.
