I am all about losing Lovie, Angelo, Martz, etc. but we need to work with what we have.

So we look at what this team REALLY needs before Urlacher, Briggs and Peppers become as effective as Tommie Harris.

New OL men, at least 2, maybe 3, expected to come in this offseason.

A big WR!!!!!!!!! PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!! Even Jerry has to now see this is what Cutler needs! It's what makes him good. He throws the ball to an area and he needs a Big WR to go and get it!

A corner would also be on the list. I am OK with Peanut, he is an NFL corner, the problem is that he is our Number 1 CB!

Can Moore play corner or is he too short. His work at nickle has been fantastic.

Not a major concern now but they'll need to pick up a new punter
eventually. I have liked Maynard through the years but I think he
is just running on fumes. Should be able to find someone in free
agency and not waste a draft pick on this position. Would be nice
if they found someone who could double as a kick off guy. Gould
has done a lot better this year but finding someone who can kick
to the end zone each time would be nice.

As I wrote earlier in the season, the bears are at an emergency situation at every position on the field short of RB, QB and WR and all three of those could be upgraded.

What in the WR situation would lead you to believe that it isn't an emergency? The blazing size none of them possess? The huge game speed they all lack?

Peppers, Cutler, the unknown(to Martz) free agent RB pickup, Briggs, Hester, Idonije, and maybe 4-5 others. The rest are either useless, on the rapid decline and wildly overrated(if that's even possible)

IMO, only 10-11 legitimate NFL players on a 53 man roster

Do you think they'd be better if they gave up on Hester, got Knox's head out of his ass and featured DA and Bennett? I do.

Knox is progressing. It is fairly typical for WR to break out in their third year and I think he will.

I also think Bennet is a starting quality WR in the league. Certainly a #3 quality.

Aromashadu is going to end up being good for someone else.

Hester is clearly in the decline.

There is enough talent at WR to live with even going into next year. I couldn't call it an emergency. An emergency is the OL...or the DL...and, because of age LB, DB...hopefully Wright comes back looking as good as he did in the preseason or that gets the big red light as well.
