It seems hard to believe, but "Entertainment Tonight" is celebrating its 30th year in syndication this season. The one familiar face on "ET" since day 1 in 1982 has been Mary Hart. While the show, seen locally at 6:30p weeknights on CBS2HD, has had different co-hosts during its 3 decades on the air, Mary has been there every step of the way delivering all the day's top entertainment news from the show's home in Hollywood.

Mary recently made news of her own, announcing plans to retire at the end of the current season in May. There were initial reports that Lara Spencer, host of the "ET" spinoff "The Insider" which airs at 7:30a & 6p weekdays on WCIU 26 The U, was going to succeed Mary on "Entertainment Tonight". However, it was revealed this morning that Nancy O'Dell, former host of "ET's" direct competition "Access Hollywood", will succeed Mary on the most watched entertainment news show on TV.

The plan is to have Nancy as a Special Correspondent and as a fill-in anchor on "ET" when she joins the show in January. Once Mary officially signs off in May, O'Dell will then join current co-host Mark Steines at the show's current home, CBS Television City in Hollywood.

Elaine: Hey, grab Jerry's sweater for me, would you?

(Theme music plays on TV, Kramer walks in, waves at Jerry and Elaine, then walks over to Jerry's bookshelf, dancing to the music. Voice of Mary Hart starts on TV and Kramer starts having a wild seizure behind the sofa.)
Jerry: What's it like out?

Elaine: Chilly out.

Jerry: Can I take a sweater?

Elaine: Yeah, you can take a sweater if you want to.

Jerry: Scarf?

Elaine: Nah, hey, shut this off, shut it off.

(Jerry and Elaine finally notice Kramer as he finishes)
Jerry: What's the matter? What's going on?

Kramer: What happened?! I think I hit my head again!

Jerry: What is wrong?!

Elaine: Hey, hey, wait a minute! Let me ask you something. Kramer, the last time you hit your head, was Mary Hart on TV?

Kramer: Yeah.

Elaine: Thats it!

Kramer: What?

Elaine: That is it! Mary Hart's voice, don't you see? There's something about Mary Hart's voice that's giving you seizures. Just like, just like, just like that woman in Albany!

Kramer: Mary Hart!
