A little late but....timely for me.

So, I watched A Christmas Story a dozen times. Vacation around 4 or 5, and the Nightmare Before Christmas 2 or 3.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is such a great movie. It's not for kids, really...but it's so damn good.
I just found out that there is an album called Nightmare Revisited from 2005.

Check this out! It's fucking awesome!!!!
Having discovered this band on tour with KMFDM in 1994...

Its not Xmas, but there are really no other Thanksgiving movies. Planes, Trains, & Automobiles is my favorite holiday movie.

A Christmas Story was a lot better before the 24 hours straight thing that TNT/TBS does every year. It has really burned me out on that movie.

Agree. It was great when it was on once or twice. Now I want to see Scott Farkus kick Ralphie's ass.

Bad Santa is always a favorite for us. I love Lauren Graham also so that helps too.

Anyone ever catch The Annoyance Theater production of this? Don't know if they still do it, but back when the Theater was really close to the Metro they would have one or two productions before Xmas. We would bring in our own booze and watch the show. It was fun to watch a semi adult version of a true charlie brown classic.

I love Gremlins. It always bothered me that the guy was surprised that his bosses were upset he brought his dog to work with him. I've never seen a bank teller with a dog before...

I could've sworn "Trading Places" with Eddie Murphy & Dan Aykroyd, circa 1983, was centered around a Christmastime theme...

Lots of people bring their dogs to work. I was managing a temp agency that supplied cooks and waiters for catering companies and the woman that I worked for used to bring her dogs into the office all the time. Those unruly motherfuckers would bark their asses off. Most of my job consisted of phone calls so you can see how that might not be great. Once I was talking to the head of staffing for one of the larger catering outfits in Chicago. I won't mention the name but they also have a restaurant downtown where I believe Good Dolphin occasionally like to take his lunch. Anyway, I was on the phone with the staffing manager who is a real Chicago broad in the best sense and she heard the fucking dogs howling in the background. She said, "Are there dogs in your office?" I was somewhat embarrassed and sort of mumbled some shit and she replied, "FUCK! YOU'VE GOT DOGS IN YOUR OFFICE! CALL ME BACK WHEN THEY'RE GONE!!!!!!!!"

Willie: Look, I've boned a lot of fat chicks in my time, sure. But, as far back as I can remember, I've never fornicated anybody.

Willie: You know, I think I've turned a corner.
Marcus: Yeah? You fucking petites now?
Willie: No, I'm not talking about that. I beat the shit out of some kids today. But it was for a purpose. It made me feel good about myself. It was like I did something constructive with my life or something, I dunno, like I accomplished something.
Marcus: You need many years of therapy. Many, many fuckin' years of therapy.

Christmas and New Year's. Who can forget the scenes when Dan Akryod dresses up as Santa and crashes his former company christmas party in order to frame Eddie Murphy by putting drugs in his desk.

Then they take the NYE train for a costume party to steal the OJ reports from Biggs.

Plains Trains and Automobiles is a Thanksgiving movie.
