Alright, in all seriousness Rick.

Do you mind calling BB this week to tell him how many points to score, to preserve the delicate reputation of the Big Ten?
I thought "you reallllllllllllly don't want to fight with me". Are you in denial on that too?

 No. Was going to take the dog for a walk, but decided not to.

This is silly. You didn't even see the game. The IU fans (including the 1 on this board) admitted it wasn't running the score up. The IU coach admitted it wasn't. For some reason, the Purdue fan, you... thinks it was. Anyway.

Bielema can definitely be a dick (see Minnesota game). I have some fantastic stories to back this up as well, that I prefer not to share on the internets (PM me Rick, I'll share). The guy can be a jerk, but this wasn't one of those times.

I'm convinced. Just like Bucky Chris does not want to fight with me Bret Bielema does not run up the score.

Good chat...

It actually did help Wisconsin move up in the USA Today poll to 5th.

I think Lynch will be fired, I almost think it should be today, I had no problem with Wisconsin scoring as much as they did, IU you can stop them. I heard this on a pre-game today, the guy thought it was disgraceful, I disagree. I think with the BCS and all we hear lately with TCU and Boise State is "style points", well that's what Wisconsin did to IU.

I know you should feel sorry, but I don't get why people get mad at Wisconsin, when they played their game, and IU just lays down, you can get them on the bomb to get 76, but when Wisco got to 83, all they did was run the ball.

I am throwing out Western Michigan's coach, Bill Cubit, as the next IU coach.

Why should I want Bill Cubit?

I wonder if Jerry Kill would be an option.

What has he done to deserve a step-down?

No thanks. I want a coach that can actually beat Illinois.

Last rumors I heard for IU were Glen Mason and Hoke (former BSU coach). I'm sure either are all that great of choice, but at least Mason knows what bowl games are.

Mason would be alright I guess, but I do not want any more former BSU coaches.

If I was in the position to make the selection, I would look for a young assistant in one of the better programs who loves to recruit and is just looking for an opportunity.

Ask Minnesota how that worked out.

It would be pretty interesting if they threw a lot of money at one of Zook's assistants.

I am bringing everyone around him. Screw Penn State and the NFL, we all know Bloomington is his desired destination.

I wouldn't be opposed to that. Screw Illinois again.

The coaches poll is an element of the BCS. Getting attention to the program helps that, for one.
So are you saying by scoring 83 points on Indiana that you will move up in the human polls over teams that also won? What if you had only scored 60? Would it have been different?
Bucky Chris wrote:
You know what would help the Big Ten most? Purdue, Indiana and Minnesota not sucking at football.
There is always going to be a team that doesn't win much in the Big Ten. If those three teams were good then three others would be the bottom three. I don't get your point.

I just wish you would have watched the game. Or listened to everyone else. The blame here really isn't on UW. It's on IU. Like I think it is, like their fans think is, like just about everyone thinks it is. When a 4th string slow QB I have never heard of scrambles for a TD, I just don't have an answer. You can't start kneeling with 10 minutes to go in the 4th quarter.

And yes, I personally believe the 83 points could have an impact in the long run. I also see absolutely no negative impact for Wisconsin. Might get the attention of some Coaches and AP voters. Does that directly mean they will jump spots? Of course not. This week I doubt if UW even jumps a single spot in the BCS.

You think Bret is a meanie, I get it. I'm not going to change your mind and I couldn't care less, Rick. I realllllly don't want to fight with you.

Why on earth would anyone, without a rooting interest in either side, want to watch a game that was virtually over at halftime?

Hearing Kevin Wilson (Oklahoma OC) as tue next IU coach. Not bad if true. I'd like them to play Phish's "Wilson" in Bloomington on game days.
