I agree...it also seems like there was far more exposure if the Vick thing than there was Ray Lewis or Leonard Little.

The problem with most people is that they only want to look at what is blasted in their faces immediately, and not actually dig into anything. Thanks to PETA, this was blasted in everyone's faces.

The outrage is probably in proportion to the star quality of the athlete. LeBron and Vick are higher profile than Leonard Little. I venture to guess that most sports fans have no idea what Leonard Little did.

Lebron (currently) and Vick (previously) both came off as assholes in general with the things they would say after games and how they would carry themselves in public. They were and are (lebron) easy dislike before the "decision" and this dog fighting thing. That, in combination with their mass amounts of fame allowing them to transcend the general population are why the disdain for these to is or was sky high. No one knows stallworth that doesn't follow football and no one knows leonord little except hardcore football fans or those of his team. Ray Caruth and Dave Meggett are both in prison for horrible crimes and no one really cares because they were never glorified and placed upon a mountaintop.
