"Meatpants" is a pretty funny screen-name...

Wasn't the name meatpants given to him because he had a hole in the thigh of his pants? Maybe his size didn't help there but I don't see it as the focus.

People don't like him or they like to get under his skin or they think they are hilarious. There are a lot of assholes that can hide behind a keyboard. I'd hope they wouldn't say this stuff to his face.

You really think

Meat ignores a lot of things to eat chicken, like his pant size, cholesterol count, the number on the scale when he steps on it, the cracking of the tiles when he walks on them and Yourmoms desperate muffled cries for help and air when he has sex with her.
is okay because of his nickname? You got a nickname you want to share with the class?

While we're on nicknames, what is the origin of Shawn Hill being "Goofchops"?

I believe some find him to be overweight.

If you haven't noticed, I have a slight weight problem. My doctor says I've swallowed a lot of agression, along with a lot of pizzas.

I agree that fat jokes are neither necessary nor appropriate.

I agree with you...but a woman's defense of another person against weight jokes the day after thanksgiving weekend is transparent

Speigel really hates internet people. Finji taking the internet guy's side of things was uncomfortable for a minute.

Thumbs up to Finji, by the way. Heard his entire show on Saturday and enjoyed it. Extra kudos for getting me some Illini hoops updates.

I'll add Finji to the list of guys who might be better than Spiegel. I thought he was a solid listen as well.

I really enjoy Finfer. He's a good listen & yet another Score bench player who is better than many of the full time show hosts. They're all better than Spiegel.

A few weeks back, I ended up spinning the dial and ended up listening to some of J Hood's basketball "show" on a Saturday. I cannot undo that... :(

Ya, what was this about. I stopped listening after the first 20 minutes.

Transparent is your misogynistic remarks due to the self-admitted fact that you are not a ladies man. Not my fault the only breasts and thighs you saw this weekend belonged to the turkey.

BTW, I'm like jello. I've got good jiggle.

Nothing major. He was ticked off about a comment someone left on a story about the kid falling at Soldier Field. The first comment was something about "at least Cutler threw 4 TDs" or something like that. Said something about being behind a keyboard....you know...and that the guy should have gone somewhere else to be smarmy.

Then Finji came in and said maybe the guy was just trying to be positive and Spiegel could have gone somewhere else as well.
