Denard Robinson - Honorable Mention All Big Ten QB oh..and Big Ten offensive player of the year....How's that work?

Note: This is by the coaches.

The media made him first team all big ten QB and OPOY.

He's no Dan Persa. He couldn't even carry Persa's achilles.

Completely serious. While Robinson is a great runner, there is no better complete package in the Big 10. Persa is ridiculously accurate and probably has the third best legs in the Big 10. Too bad neither team has a defense.

Wasn't Robinson the first player in NCAA history to pass for over 2000 yards
and run for over 1500 in a season? I know he is on a weak team but those are still
decent numbers for a guy who was essentially the offense's only weapon.

The whole point is (and Maisel agrees with me) if he is good enough to be OPOY, he should be 1st team All Big Ten. It just seems crazy that a player who is HM All Big Ten can win the OPOY. I'm not debating the ability of a Tolzein, Persa, Cousins, etc.

First off, I agree with you (and Maisel), But I suppose you can be a phenomenal athlete and not necessarily a great field general. I understand what you are trying to say, but I think there are arguments on the other side that can be made. I suppose it would be like calling Cam Newton the best SEC OPOY, but Ryan Mallet the best QB.
