Bears play well despite the effort from Shaun Alexander. I expect at least 100 yards from the former mvp and a valiant showing from the defending nfc champions

Bears have something to prove after last season, I think they are going to make a statement today.

If however the Bears lose, I am boycotting sports radio for at least a week. The wringing of hands and the "I told you so" will be at an all time high.

Unfortunately it seems dank and rainy. You know what that means, SEAHAWK WEATHER.

I'll still go with...

BEARS 31
SEA 10

Shouldn't we have started talking about the game before today?

Judging by yesterday's atrocious Indy / Baltimore game, it seems teams are no longer scoring by sevens but by threes. I think we should move to have the NFL eliminate the touchdown altogether. Using that logic, I'm changing my prediction from the previous thread:

Bears 12
C. Hawks 9

Good play calling by Turner on the first drive. I didn't think he had it in him to run the ball that often. I like our chances if Turner continues to run 60% of the time.

If the defense would like to play, that would be great.

Hester needs to get the hell away from the ball right now! Trying to do too much instead of just taking what is there.

anybody find it ironic that for the second straight year, meatheads spent the two weeks before the first playoff game worrying about Rex when it turns out the offense has no trouble...its the defense that looks awful.

the bears are going to need at least another 10 points to win this game. this defense is lacking...

I agree Nas. I'd like to see them attack the middle in the passing game a little more, get Clark involved.

I think if we can get up 2 scores, the D will step up and salt this game away nicely.

Right now, Hasselbeck is getting too much time.

Quote:
Rex needs to take the sack on the play or protect the ball. He is great at running the 2 minute offense. This is the 3rd time they have run it this year and each time they got a touchdown.

You really can't blame him, Nas: Turnoverasauruses' tiny arms make it very difficult for them to protect the ball. ;)

Seattle has a lot of momentum here in the 2nd half...scored points on the first drive, and now just blow up the Bears offense.

Now, on the penalty, they are going to have the ball around mid-field.

remember how for a short stretch in the middle of the season, as the defense was starting to give up more yardage, they would use the "we're getting 3 to 5 turnovers a game" excuse?

well, this defense is going to have to pull off a few fumbles/interceptions in this second half or we're toast.

Grossman has no pocket awareness. Wistrom was on the ground and Rex got sacked. He never steps up in the pocket to find a lane.
I don't like how things are going either..

If the defense continues to give Hasselback five seconds to throw we will lose this game. Rivera better start blitzing soon because the front four suck today.

I think Rivera has been blitzing, but we're not getting to him.

This is BAD.

I'm rather shocked at how bad our defense is playing today. Seattle is doing whatever, whenever they want to.

If we're losing this game in the 4th quarter, do we really have confidence in our offense ?

our defense is pathetic.

we cant stop the run.

we always seem to be about five yards away from the opponent's wide receiver.

no pressure at all.

we're fucked.

That's why I was telling everyone who'd listen that the lines would get beat on both sides of the ball. The O line can't protect, the D line can't pressure.
