Actually he filled in for Mariotti when he was covering the Olympics in 06.

I whole-heartedly agree with him....Benson should carry more than Jones.

Most of this guy's examples are half-truths.

Things I don't want to see in any ESPN columnists post unless it's on page 2..

"So Bears cornerback Ricky Manning Jr. was standing in front of his locker after Chicago's 27-24 overtime win in the NFC Divisional playoff, and he was talking about how difficult the last 12 months have been for him." - This sentence is just an abortion of the english language.

"Oh, my gawd." - no.. just no.

Didn't TJ have 2 big touchdowns? What more do you want from the guy? Benson still gets his carries. Rex and the offense played well and could have been better if our #1 and #2 WR's didn't drop a couple balls. The defense also stepped up when they had too.

Totally agree with you on this NAS. I think Benson's playing great, but why change the current rotation - Jones had a good day today as well, but people still seem to want Benson getting the majority of carries - we have a good running game with 2 runners, let's use them both as we have.

He also was good on the opening drive. I like Jones early, but I would get Benson some carries on the second possession of the game rather than waiting for the 3rd.

I just think that mixing it up even more would throw off the defense. TJ certainly had a good day. He had some wide open holes to hit. It just bugs me that he usually goes down on first contact.

Both running backs were very good. There should be no complaining about the running game.

Cedric proved that he can catch the ball too on the game tying possession. I would have liked for him to get the ball on the Bears last possession in regulation at mid field instead of having Rex throw the ball 3 times. There was plenty of time left and they could have waited to 3rd down to pass the ball if needed. The Bears coaches don’t always do a great job at managing the game or clock.

I concur. I checked the game stats, and they passed 38 times an ran 34. Those numbers need to be reversed.

It's not that I don't like Jones or think he had a good game, but I just enjoy watching Benson run more. Every time he touches the ball I know he's going to light some defender up and put him on his ass. Even when it's just a 3 or 4 yard gain for him it's always interesting. Jones gets those same yards and it's uneventful. Sure glad we have them both though.

it was a good mix of both of them....they started pounding benson up the middle, then ran jones to the outside.....it worked to perfection.
