Just wanted to put that out there. I didnt catch the lines on the game (Coast, lol), but I'm sure just about everyone had them winning, and most had them as the SB pick. Now they're going to be at home like 28 other teams. The other point of this is to say that while a lot of people are complaining about the Bears win, that's the point - they WON. I dont care how terrible they played. We could be feeling like the Chargers' fans right now.

Or Ravens fans. Lots of parallels between them and the beloved. Oh, wait. The Ravens defense showed up.

chargers blew this game because of 2 things

1.stupid coach
2.stupid players

Marty goes for it on 4th and 11 at his 30 for some reason and they turn it over. Pats get 3 off it.

Pats stopped on crucial drive but stupid SD player gets a personal foul, pats get 3.

Pats go for it on 4th down, ball is intercepted and fumbled away to the pats leading to 8 points for the pats. 4ht down, you knock the ball down, not int it.

Stupid players = SD Chargers.

This is lining up for the bears good. We can beat either indy and the pats on a neutral field. We just got to beat the saints first.

Quick Q:

When you are up 7, should you go for 1 or 2? I thought 2 was the right call then but they kicked the Xp and then gave up a TD+ 2 pointer

Colts Pats again. I'm very surprised both won, even though individually, I wasn't surprised either won.

Anyone think that with :08 to go, they should have tried a quick out pattern ? I know Marty would have been killed in the press had a completed pass stayed in bounds, and I'm not saying kicking the FG there was stupid, but wanted to hear your guys opinion on this.

Good point, BD. That was one of a handful of bad calls by the Martyballer.

Tom Brady is an HOF QB and Marty Schottenheimer is an HOF choke-artist.

Why is anyone surprised by this outcome?

Absolutely. You can get 10 yards in six seconds or throw it away. Nothing to lose there...and a possible difference-making 10 yards to gain.

Yeah, calling on Nate Kaeding from 54 was an improbable way to tie.....Even getting 5 yards might have helped.

I'm sort of tired of seeing the Pats every damned year, but dammit, they're smart enough to peak at the right time, and they're efficient enough to beat the latest world-beater...

Didn't know I was missed. Sadly, there's not too many threads I want to contribute to, so I lurk. As for you, you haven't been seen for a long time, either...
