This morning, North was going off on the signing of Ben Wallace, and how he thinks Paxson would not have signed him given his current production at $15 million a season (I believe it's actually $16 million this season), and then used the 18 points and 13 rebounds that P.J. Brown and Tyrus Thomas combined for and said and he'd take that production anyday over what Wallace gives for $15 million.

I'm going to go out on a limb, and guess that Mike has no idea that Brown and Thomas combine to make almost $12 million - and both have made little contribution to the team this season (for different reasons), not to mention that had Paxson not traded Eddy Curry becuase of the medical condition, there's a good chance that we'd still be looking at Curry (who North probably dislikes more than Wallace) and Chandler (unless Brown was traded for Chandler) in the frontcourt, and I don't think Curry on the Bulls with their defensive emphasis would be putting up anywhere near the numbers that he's doing for the Knicks.

All in all though, just another example where Mike takes one good combined game by two players, and that somehow proves his point.

Last week, he was calling out Wallace because he sat out with back spasms. His justification was that he ( North ) hasn't missed a day of work in 15 years.

Using Brown and Thomas was a bad example but with the exception of a 2 week stretch I would rather have the younger Chandler for $6M less than Wallace. The guy has been stealing money for the majority of the season. He regularly gets dominated by the other teams big man.

That'a different argument though than what North was talking about - he never brough up Chandler's name, and he argued that Wallace is stealing money because he has a sore back/missed a game, and then used one good combined game to argue against Ben Wallace.

Everything else I brought up goes a little deeper than North's argument though because he is basing a lot of the Wallace bashing on one good game by Brown/Thomas.

He did that today with Wallace plus he called out Duhon for sleeping thru practice. 'i was only late myself once ' in my entire time at the score--he says.

I think he's off base and just pumping up the ratings by whining over tiddly stuff. Trade away Wallace now and your seasons trashed.

Schizophrenic fair weather neighborhood sports guy Papppy. Somebody should track how many time he flip flops. He must have been like everyone else wishing for Wallace for the Bulls when the Pistons were Champs. And up to now Duhon was the perfect attitude guy and guest on his show.

Pappy entertains with his flip flop foolery.

North has always used straw horse arguments when spewing his views - whether it's politics (it's cold today so that proves there's no global warming) or sports (Phil Jackson never won a championship without great players, therefore he is over-rated as a coach). The sad part is that it's those types of arguments that used to make his pre-solo shows entertaining. The difference now is that he doesn't take calls to actually debate his points and lord knows Fred won't do it.

How about this backwards logic - he liked Kyle Orton because he said "look at da team reccord". Yet that didn't apply to Grossman.

But after professing his love for Orton he said "Peyton Manning is no good because he hasn't won a Super Bowl."

So this idiot loves Orton and blasts Manning. Jeez is he dumb.

Since this is a Bulls discussion, I will ask my question in this htread. Who is this "Tyrese" guy who plays for the Bulls that North refers to?

I believe that would be "TT". From listening to North this morning, I'm pretty sure that "TT" and "Tyrese" are the same guy. He sounds like he's pretty good.

Yeah Kenny, I knew who he was referring to just bothers me when hosts can't get players names right. Especially considering the fact that North once claimed that TT plays like he's "retarded".

I was laughing that he was referring to him as "TT" and later as Tyrese. He knows he doesn't know the guy's name so he was going with TT but I guess he just took a flyer and went with Tyrese. Hilarious.

He could never prononce Harbaugh or Curry's names either. It was funny when Harbaugh called him on it.
