Basketball, hockey, football, other things.

Loud noises, hopefully no parody songs.

Edit: Gonna talk some hip hop today too; now it's obvious that Mac is on vacation.

Goff please stop talking about Buff and him winning any hardware. Stick to things you actually know something about.

He's right though, Buff's probably right behind Lidstrom among offensive defenseman...

I would have said Blounts instead, but that's just me.

I had an inner Nort'. I had it surgically removed. They told me there was a 10% survival rate, and I COULD live with it. I took the 10% option.

The Thrashers have a better record than the Hawks so far and Buff is having a good year. I think I am going to buy the online NHL package to watch the Thrashers take on the Bruins tonight.

I am liking this combo. Goff is always entertaining and Meat is better without Danny Mac.

Meat should watch the NBA on Christmas instead of doing the cliche "what a Jewish guy should do on Christmas" stuff.

I didn't stutter biotch! Unless he dropped off in the last two weeks, I stand by that statement...

Edit: well for this season at least...

Any talk of Dustin Byfuglien winning the Norris is utterly preposterous due to the fact that he doesn't kill penalties. He averages 7 SECONDS of shorthanded ice time per game. And while yes, he's having a wonderful offensive year, and yes, the award does slightly tilt that way, it's not just simply a matter of handing it to the defenseman who scores the most points. If that were the case, Mike Green (who is and has been on the Caps' PK, albeit bad at it) would have won it the last two years running.

But even without the pk stats, Mike Green has been a finalist the last two seasons, and I have no doubt that Byfuglien will be there if he keeps up this ppg pace. Sure he wont win, but he'll be in the discussion, so to outright dismiss Goff's comments seems like a disservice to him...

Well, I'm not listening because I think Spiegel sucks, so I didn't know exactly what was said. Even so, sure, he might be a finalist, but if he was suggesting Buff is actually going to walk away with the "hardware", that's what I was refuting. Being a finalist does not net any hardware. That's a semantics argument anyway. My point is, yes, Buff may be having an offensively great year, even to the point of being a finalist, but he's not an all-around defenseman. He's a specialist.

Keep in mind also that this is by no means a harbinger of things to come for him. This is a contract year for him, as it was the last time he set the world on fire as a converted forward, and was never able to replicate the production from that position in the regular season.

Spmack, I am not sure what is up with you lately, but this little beardown/nashova thing you got going on lately is getting old real fast. Go back to the old spmack stat.

I'm on vacation bitches. Caught the last hour or so.

Spiegel is winning the show. Goff is losing big time. I can't wait until transition to see Bernstein defeat both of them.

You know the problem with the Score? They say winning and losing is not the goal in sports talk. They're teaching that to a younger generation. ESPN fights that and teaches us that, yes, it is about winning and losing. That's the correct way to do sports talk.

The way that Meat reacted to the statement was what bothered me... I don't think he was abruptly dismissing the comment because he knew that Byfuglien didn't play the PK, he was saying it because he doesn't think that Byfuglien is in that league, IMO. Which defensively he's not, but he deserves more credit for his offensive production (especially considering the forwards playing in front of him) than Meat was giving him...

I don't know what to expect from Buff... ever. He took off way too many games during his time here to know how good he could be. Maybe he has figured 'it' out, maybe not.

After thinking about it, the NHL will probably fix the Norris voting to give Atlanta a new star, that sounds about right to me... Maybe this will be your Bernstein 'Juan Uribe' moment...

Doug, I gave you some songs for you and your band to do to make you famous in the Bears section. "Little Devin boy" and "Devin B. Fast". I think you might have missed it but maybe you just ignored it. Anyway, just letting you know. Looks like Frank doesn't want to use them so they're all yours.

Byfuglien will not be one of the three finalists for the Norris.

Anybody want action on that?
