Damn, 2 weeks of hearing about Dungy and Lovie. And 2 weeks of can Rex or Manning win the big one. This is going to suck.

No kidding.. Football has been around for 100 years and this is the first time a black coach took a team to the championship/superbowl and now we're guaranteed to have a black coach win the SB for the first time in 41 years.. It is a major accomplishment and I would rather hear about that then hear one more word about Katrina.. Brady.. Belichick.. dynasty..

Almost all of the stories associated with this Super Bowl are new stories.. and it'll be nice for a change. Last year, I loathed both Pittsburgh and Bill Cowher and Mike Holmgren and his Seahawks. At least this year, the Bears are in the SB and I have always liked the Colts..

After 40 years of Super Bowls, I can handle however many hundreds of stories are written the next two weeks about the two African American coaches in this game. There are not nearly enough stories about successful African American managers/leaders in our media. Bring em on. I look forward to reading them. And I hope their stories inspire the young black kids to overcome obstacles as much as they inspire this old white guy.

In addition, both of these guys are apparently great role models. They are both reserved and intelligent with neither having a need to be abusive towards their players.

I imagine there will be some focus on the Dungy tragedy.

The hell with you schmitty. This is two weeks of getting the NFL's attention onm just the Bears and Colts. This is great. Go overboard on the storylines and covereage. I'm loving the fact that I don't have to get bombarded listening about two teams that I'm not a fan of. I still can't believe this is happening.

I suppose that we can narrow this down to one week now (seeing as how the shocking, headline-grabbing, Parcells news should take up this entire week).

Bettis in Detroit was last year's angle. This year's angle: Thomas Jones has a new Ferrari in Miami he can't wait to drive. Or so said the breathless groupie Pam Oliver yesterday. Maybe she wants a ride or something. Look for the video of TJ and Pam tooling down South Beach.

Something tells me Pam doesn't go that way. Maybe if TJ had a sister she might be interested then.

Please go on.
