Well since bowl season gets underway this weekend, I was wondering how you think the Big 10 will do this year after a good year last year going 4-3 and 2 BCS wins.

For my picks,

Iowa vs Missouri- I think Ferentz has Iowa play well in their game and Mizzou didn't do well in last year's game, but I think the Tigers will pull away late.

Baylor vs Illinois- Illini fans get ready to hear the name Robert Griffin a lot, Illinois defense struggled late in the season and there is some thought with a loss it could be Zook's last game and I do like Baylor in this one, could be high-scoring.

Northwestern vs Texas Tech- If Persa was playing in this game, I would give Northwestern a real shot to win, but he's not and Barron Batch should run a little, so I give the nod to Texas Tech, maybe next year Mud.

Michigan vs Mississippi State- The coaching could be intresting, because Rich Rod feels he will be fired, so not sure if this game will change anything, but I think Michigan figures something out on defense and pulls off the upset here.

Michigan State vs Alabama- I am pulling for Michigan State, but all you hear about this game is Alabama going to not care like when they played Utah, so Julio Jones could have a nice game before going to the pro's, I am going Sparty, but could see a Bama big win.

Penn State vs Florida- I like the Gators here, don't think Penn State is any good, don't know if Florida will respond to losing the coach like last year when they thought they were going to lose him, but I go with FLorida

Wisconsin vs TCU- In this game, I hope Wisco plays this game like they did against IU and Northwestern and pours on the points, score as many as you can. We will see how good TCU's D is going against a big time team.

Ohio State vs Arkansas- I like the Buckeyes here and maybe this game is used as a springboard into next year like they thought last year's game would be, Pryor a heisman winner and a national title shot. In intresting note in this game is Mallet is a transfer from Michigan, so a little Michigan-Ohio State here, but Buckeyes stop the run, double team DJ Williams and Joe Adams and should be an easy win. I see Pryor having no trouble in this one.

I am going 4-4 and 2 BCS bowl wins for the Big 10, so we will see what happens, first game is 2 weeks from today with the Insight Bowl between Iowa-Missouri.

yep... Northwestern is a shell of a team after Persa went down. Hopefully we'll continue our streaks of exciting bowl games... perhaps with a win this year.

I think it's going to be an ugly Big Ten bowl season, due in large part to injuries and cocaine.

Going into today's big games, the Big 10 is undefeated and the SEC is winless, can the Big pull out 2 or 3 today.

I don't like Northwestern's chances, did Mud go this year like last year.

I would say Penn State get beaten, but just wonder how much FLorida's coaches are focused since some of the guys need to look for other jobs, especially the OC.

I think Michigan with a win saves Rich Rod's job, loss, he gone.

For Michigan State, the Alabama team will be healthy, will it turn into a nightmare today.

Is Wisconsin able to run the ball like they have all year against TCU, and the last couple of bowl games TCU's offense hasn't played well, does that change today.

As expected Alabama and texas tech have gotten the paddles out. Michigan was the game I was most interested in. I think if they can play a shred a D they can beat MSU.

Wow, Mich St just blew a golden opportunity to get back in the game. If Bama scores on this drive the game is over.

so when i woke up ~25 minutes ago i hop around the built-in-tv-guide thing on the cablebox (tv guide: u mad??) and notice that channel 7/ABC national has florida at penn state (a battle of two 7-5 teams) and ESPN, the basic cable outfit has ROLL TIDE ROLL TIDE ROLL TIDE ROLL TIDE (god that commercial is stupid) versus michigan state, 9-3 / 11-1 respectively.

i'm like "why the fuck do they have this game on ESPN, unless they know it's going to be a blowout and sparty is going to get their ass handed to them?"

sure enough, right when i turn it on i watch michigan st go down 21-0 in the 2nd quarter. i flipped back just now and saw some guy breaking tackles en route to a 28-0 lead.

BRING BACK JEFF SMOKER!

The only thing that I've liked in this game is watching Kain Colter, the true frosh backup QB play. Glad to see they didn't burn his shirt in the Wisconsin game for nothing.

Our defense is beyond horrible. My kingdom for a defensive backfield.

Colter has played well. NU is giving some effort though that onside kick was pretty dumb for an experienced coach up 21. Run the clock Tuberville.

PSU is really playing hard.

I don't like the Badgers if this continues to be a shootout.

Cocaine caused Michigan St. to be obliterated? Cocaine is the reason Penn St. wet the bed?

Welcome to the new year, same as the old year.

Try putting somewhat of an arc on your ball. Good christ man, that ball didn't get 7 feet off the ground.

Big Ten's day just gave Terry Boers a reason to wake up on Monday's show.

Big 10-12 Showed how bad their offenes are today overall. Florida is a bad team! They have almost no offense and a bad defense, yet Penn St dd nothing.
Mich st and Mich.....? No excuse to be so bad. It's one thing to lose, but to act as if you dint show up?

NU, usual game. other team goes out in front, fall sleep, NU comes back, other team wins

WISC, zero ability to go to the air fo about the 9th year in a row.

Check Tolzien's numbers. He was about the 3rd rated QB in te country going in to this game. We passed very well when need be. But the Badgers are a running team. Not sure if they got it, but might be 5 yards short of the first teamto have 3 1000 yard rushers.
