Geez, for the morning after the Bears advanced to the Super Bowl, I thought today's show was exceptionally lame, even by North's standards. I confess I didn't hear the entire thing, but what I did hear was a lot of California anti-spanking law talk, some talk about Oprah, something about Mike's bird feeder, no guests, no players, no Zaidman or Holmes with their accounts of being there . . . what the hell?

He said from the get-go there would be no guests or expert analysis. He said it would be nothing but fans phone calls. Had to go away at about 7:15, so I don't know where the other topics came from. Maybe they had a lack of callers wanting to talk about the game.

Why does anyone ever tune in to this show?

I really would like to know why anyone would subject themself to this rotten, awful, useless palabra.

I do not even bother to flip past it on the dial. My radio does not go on until 10am at the earliest and I suggest you all do the same. Find an Emergency Broadcast System test to listen to until North signs off.

Unfortunately for me, my radio was on the Score when I turned on my car this morning, so I was subjected to two minutes of North stupidity, which was more than enough for me.

The Bears are going to the Super Bowl, and all Mike could do was continue to rip on Rex Grossman, that he looked lost, confused, and should have gotten a penalty for trying to call 2 timeouts in a row. "I don't know why he didn't get a penalty, the refs just walked away." This was followed by the predictable "That's right" and "Yes" from the lap dog and the tranny.

If they had been paying any attention to the game, one of them might have heard the explaination relayed up from the officials that there is NO penalty for that, they just will not grant the request for a time out. If the play clock runs out, then there would have been a penalty for delay of game.

To make it worse, Mike then compared it to the Chris Webber NCAA finals timeout fiasco, which was of course, a completely different situation, (trying to call a time out when you do not have any timeouts left").

About what I have come to expect from this lame attempt at a sports show.

That was enough for me... the dial was quickly changed.

I only listen to him on Monday mornings and today was the worst. Keep bitching about Benson calling him a bust and saying the Bears ruined Thomas Jones day.Equated spanking to the crime rate in Italy and applauded Lovie Smith for not being PC and calling himself black, Fred and Mike were the two happiest white men in the world about that.

I was interested in hearing how the shows would recap yesterday's game. After last week's win over Seattle, it was like they lost. North was happy today, but he did have quite a few complaints for a team that just won 39-14 AND IS GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!

He also managed to say Joe Buck called the Indy-Patriots game yesterday and repeatedly referred to Mark Anderson as 'Marcus.' Anne added her wisdom by saying Payton Manning tripped on the field turf last night (he didn't - he tripped on the RB's foot).

What a waste of time. I get more in the morning from 'BBM's sports at :15 and :45.

When Rock called him out on it he called Rock a nerd. He also abused Rock for not believing Thomas Jones is a top 5 back. Rock was correct on both counts. He better be paying you well to take this stuff Rock.

I listen to much more ESPN nowadays and they happen to be talking Peytonball, so I tuned in to North and caught his Thomas Jones greatness bit.

Sorry, but when Mike starts on Rock like he did, we see the true colors of North come out. Fact is, the guy is an asshole. He can be a childish , hurtful guy for very little reason.
I have had it happen

Tues - Fri they don't talk much sports. True fans gave up long time ago on that show. They're not tuning in on Mon. mornings either.

I contend they are getting listeners for SPORTS TALK, not Mike North.

Fact is I did listen more with Fred and Murph.

I listneed more because I never had to change the station because we started talking about Obamal, or Global warming, and On and on.

Listeners will laways turn on the SCORE, they are not turning on this show, but they are turning this show off.
