I caught Mike doing an ill-conceived Ditka/"Chicago Fan" impersonation on the pregame show.

But, my favorite part was when he brought up Mike Richardson for a reason I don't remember and said something like, "Hey Mike, when's the last time Mike Richardson's been in the restaurant. I haven't seen him in a while."

Waddle winced. I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure LA Mike died a couple years ago. I wouldn't want to see him in the restaurant right now.

Maybe you are right Reason. I might be thinking of Todd Bell. I know LA Mike had dropped off the face of the Earth for while and nobody had heard from him or knew where he was.

Waddle's reaction I guess made me think it was LA that had died. I apologi if I'm wrong. In any case, the Ditka schtick was brutal.

One of the greatest things about this Bear run is that is will finally sound the death knell for the 86 Bears. However, this has been one of north's biggest bits over the years. So, in a sense, it forces north to come up with some new material. He more than any other host has played up the whole Ditka superfans crap over the years.

Mike North IS an impersonation of a Superfan.

I remember Pappy and Jigs doing this thing all of the time. They would use the exact same lines that the SNL guys did. They would laugh and think they were so creative. All along I'm saying "you're just repeating somebody elses bit". I was sick of it then and it's defidently old now.
