Awww... I don't mind. I just don't have a PS3, so I'm not educated in the ways of Uncharted and Killzone. I'm just giving my opinion on what games I plan on gettin'. I like my Xbox 360. I think I would like the PS3 the same... but since I play most games with friends from pregamelobby.com, I would be playing the Xbox 360 anyway because that's the system they all have. By the way, a bunch of us might be going out to PAX (Seattle) this year in September. Should be a good time.

I can't tell from this youtube video if Ghost Recon Future Soldier is gonna be more a stealth game or straight up FPS.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hhq7-wo11h4

I'm not sure I've got the patience to enjoy a good stealth game.

I'm not surprised...LittleBigPlanet was fun as hell, and from what I've seen 2 is even better...

2011 could prove to (finally) be the year of the PS3...

It was really a pleasant surprise to me. I didn't expect much. A couple spots really made me jump. But don't expect much from the ending.

Holding a bunch of content that has already been finished as Signature Edition DLC...if you don't pre-order...you have to pay $7 bucks for it later as "DLC." They are already charging $60 for the PC version which is unusual...and if you don't pre-order it is $7 extra for this DLC.

Interesting...can't say I'm surprised, but I can also see why this would deter you from teh game..

I might be the only one interested in it, but has anyone picked up Assassin's Creed Brotherhood yet. I've read that the multiplayer part is essentially worthless, but AC2 was good without MP so I don't really think the shitty MP will necessarily stop this game from being good. Reviews from anyone on the board?
I'm not much for stealth in this game, so I pretty much keep quiet only when it's required. Sometimes it's more fun to just piss off and entire city of guards and see if you can fight your way out.

Well then 2013 maybe. Just ordered XIII off of Glyde today.

Awesome. I think I saw it the other day when I was browsing really cheap. Excellent deal.

Being that the engine and mechanics are already established...it shouldn't be a long development period. I just am expecting a Fall / Winter 2011 Japan release and then with localization and such...February 2012 maybe?

2011 is packed with games...I can wait for this one if they can use the time to make it right. Based on my description, you can tell I was very pleased with FFXIII. But there are some things they can do to make this one on level with FF7 and FFX.

Is FFXIII insanely time comsuming? I wouldnt mind starting up an RPG again but I dont have endless hours to devote to one.

I enjoyed both previous Assassin Creed titles, with "2" being a huge upgrade over it's predecessor. I have purchased Brotherhood a couple weeks ago when it was on sale for $30, but I haven't started it yet.

It seems to be an almost identical game to AC2 from what I hear...just in a new city. Which isn't bad...but it's more of an extended expansion pack than a sequel. However, for $30, I doubt I will complain over the value.

$30? Nice, i'd pick it up for that too. I'll see if I can find it on ebay or something for $35 or less. I need something new, MW Black ops is getting stale

Test Drive Unlimited 2 coming out on February 8th...

The first installment was the best driving game I had ever played, the mix of racing and sandbox driving was great, as was the car lists. But the best feature of the game for me was the realism of the driving, which they have even improved in the sequel. Some of Test Drive Unlimited 2 features:

"Atari have announced that Test Drive Unlimited 2 will feature dynamic weather effects, day and night cycles, and vehicle damage. They have also mentioned that the game will take place on Ibiza"

What you didn't see in that video was that the Audi actually had bridgestone blizzak tires on... So that explains why it appears to look like that, nothing to see here.

Yeah, it's more Gran Turismo than Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. I think then first one is only like $20 on atari's website...

so excited for Dead Space 2 after that review. I kinda knew that the multiplayer would be crap. Kinda sounds like the Left 4 Dead multiplayer where one team plays as the baddies and the other as the goodies. The first Dead Space was a real pleasant surprise.

Anyone getting Breach? Its got that destructible element that Mud loves, but it looks more like a MW type multiplayer game. It's only $11.99 on steam today...

If you want destructable environments, Red Faction Armageddon is the title to buy this year.

I'm "fine" with destructible environments, but I don't necessarily look for it. I don't like "gimmick" games. I remember playing the original Red Faction...the first game I can recall that let you mess with environments. That was cool for 10 minutes...then you realized you were playing a crappy game.

Atomic Games isn't a reputable developer...Breach could be fun...but it depends on the engine and the gameplay mechanics. If the FPS portion plays like Wolfenstein, Halo, or SoF - I'll pass.

Never played the first Red Faction. But Red Faction Geurilla was pretty good. It was a bit too much driving and repetitive missions. But the destruction engine makes blowing up a target a lot of fun. No one gave the multiplayer much attention, but it was actually pretty fun. My favorite was when one team has to bring a structure down and the other team has to defend it... and there was one gun that actually could repair a broken wall. There was alot of strategy involved, but since no one talked in the game, it was pretty infuriating.

Regardless of the gimmicky feel; I'd rather put down $11 for this, and see how it goes, than drop $15 for CoD maps...

I'm really hoping for something good here...

Haven't played a game on my PC in what feels like forever.

Nope,

My first impression of the game is that I like it. Its not just a bunch of shit blowing up, or at least not in the games I played. The movement of the players are pretty damn slow, whether walking or running, and the aim is pretty sensitive, but I'd call it a good game overall. My biggest problem is that the xp gained to buy add ons or other shit are pretty damn hard to earn, every kill in the Team Death match is only worth 5xp, and the amount of xp needed to buy an upgrade costs 500xp.

As for the maps, there are only 4 I believe, but the balance between sniping and close range action on each map is very nice. Considering this is my first FPS MP experience on a computer, I'm very happy with the game. Its going to take some time to get used to, so be patient if you do get it. Oh, and learn how to use the cover mechanism, it'll save you a lot of deaths...

Battlefield 3 is officially announced for Fall 2011 now... and includes 64 player multiplayer on the PC again.

So what is the difference between Battlefield 2, and the Bad Company series? I've played Bad Company and didn't like it, is Battlefield more similar to the CoD franchise?

In my opinion, BC is definitely not CoD with vehicles. If you think that, then I don't think you've really given it a fair shot. Maps are still MUCH bigger and open than CoD. You STILL need major amounts of cooperation to do well... the classes are vitally important. I will admit that the vehicles play a smaller role than they do in true BF games, but I think that is a good thing. I will also agree that BC is more of a hybrid between the games, but the destructable environments are definitely gamechangers. Your ability to change the map (i.e., how you get to the objective) is truly unique in FPS. I'm not going to argue which one is better or worse... people have their opinions... but BC is a great game.

If Battlefield 3 includes destructible environments - why does the Bad Company series even exist? Then it will have nothing to claim as it's own. It won't be better in any regard.

Great... then you have BC with bigger maps and more people. So you're right, both don't need to exist. But I will tell you that bigger isn't always better. It is easier to get 16 people to work together than 32 and the maps on Bad Company are some of the most well thought out maps I've ever seen on a FPS. God forbid you get on a team of non-talkers and your facing a clan... you might as well just disconnect... which many did in old BF games on the console. I also think the de-emphasis on vehicles is a good thing. I don't want to play a tank or helicopter simulator. I also don't want to be left out if someone keeps taking all the good vehicles on my team. BC graphics, sound, and destructable environments were an improvement over BF. So making things bigger for a "true" BF game could be a very good thing... it still doesn't make BC like CoD with vehicles. It's a very different game... and I've played a ton of both.

Not really, no. I have significantly more time in other FPS's.

So you saw the maps, then? Domination maps I'm talking about... not Rush maps.
