So bigfan,
Why do you think that Jerry Reinsdorf didn't pay the $2,000? You never answered that.

I don't have a law degree but I don't believe for a second that if someone sued the White Sox a few years from now for medical bills from an injury that they wouldn't put into evidence the fact that they paid someone else's medical bills. I guess your lawyer friend would not if he was representing them though.

Also, isn't this pretty much exactly what I am saying?

1. He was not aware of it, as I said, and I would expect him to make this right, as I said.
2. The $2000 is just the deductible, not all the bills and just because someone did something before does not mean they are obligated to do so again, despite what your TV law degree says. That is case law and is applied to court decisions,so consistancy in the law can try to be attained.

Then I guess I don't get why you had to bash his organization and say things like "this is the type of organization he runs" and mention how everyone said how great he was with Jay Williams and Bill Cartwright. I sense that you are talking out of both sides of your mouth by saying that "Jerry didn't know" but also using this as evidence of something against him.

All I know is that if I go to a baseball game, my kid gets hit, I feel like suing, and I remember this story I bring it up to my lawyer and tell him to put it in as evidence that the White Sox have paid for medical bills in the past. Would you not do the exact same thing?

Well, since bigfan deleted my post I guess I'll edit it in here.

Rick, you can admit you are wrong, we won't think any less of you. We all make mistakes

Jerry is a unique guy. While he does not seem like a laid back guy who loves a dirty joke, he is. However, the image he portrays is that he is all business all the time, which is probaly much better for 'the business' and thus everyone that works for him will follow that lead with hopes of retaining a job. So when an unfortunate instance comes up I AM 100% SURE THERE IS IN WRITING THE COMPANY RESPONSE, however, if I had worked there I would understand the official stand, but would go much higher and ask if we migh be able to do more......and ironcally, I think Jerry would do that as well.

The Law firm of Costanza & Boilermaker will have the 3 foot steps down right when you walk in the door, with the big sign that says WATCH YOUR STEP and below it in fine print "Not responsible for injuries that may result from not watching your step."

Rick, turn off the legal shows. Ever done something nice for someone? Are you now obigated to do it again?

I won't admit I was wrong. I'll just say it is cheaper and cleaner to just take position of assumption of risk and be done with it as your email lawyer friend said. That seems fairly consistent with my stance through this thread. I understand if you disagree.

Well, I made two in a row. I came back to this thread and saw it was there. Then, it disappeared. I then edited it to my previous post.

I guess I could have done it all in one post but I thought of that after I had finished the other one.

I don't think I ever once denied deleting someones post, until now.

I didnt take down any of your inights into the workings of the legal system.

How else would Good Dolphin be able to get his online legal course finished without such help?

May I ask what it is that I allegedely deleted?

I have admitted I was wrong plenty of times.

Congratulations bigfan. You win!

When will you admit that you have an irrational hate of Jerry Reinsdorf?

Won't because it is not true. Have tons of respect for him and what he has done, but he has abused a lot of the power he has paid for.

I have also said many times I could never hate the guy, he provided me with some of the best times of my life so for the third time in this thread alone, you are wrong.

Wow. I guess I was way off on your thoughts on Jerry. I guess the 10 to 1 ratio of Jerry bashing posts to Jerry applauding posts let me down.

Rick and Frank ride Jerry Reinsdorf's dick like they're holding on for dear life. It's really quite the show they put on.

Which of the 7 titles he won is your personal favorite?
