Listened almost all day yesterday because I was so pumped about the Bears. Here is the #1 reason why Salisbury should be taken off the air. Silvy and Carmen were talking with JD last night, and the three of them admitted they could not sleep Sunday night because they were so excited about the Bears.

Salisbury acted like he could care less. He actually seemed annoyed that the Bears won. There was no passion or energy whatsoever.

That is not fair to the fans.

He doesn't need to be a cheerleader, but his obvious hatred for all things Chicago sports makes for bad radio.

I have no problem he isn't a Chicago sports fan and I'm not one to "get mad" for a guy not picking the Bears every week. The thing is here, I think Seasn has purposely been picking against the Bears because he does hate Chicago, the fans, his callers and e-mailers. He's so pissed that this city didn't welcome him with open arms and is definitrly pissed has been wrong every week on the Bears games during the playoffs and that this city has a winner.

Just going on his thin-skinnedness, I think he's got "rabbit ears" when it comes to criticism from the Chicago loyal, and there are 3 folks on a certain afternoon drive show that I think have upset Salisbury's chemical balance. That's just a theory though. Really I don't think he likes Chicago at all. He never says anything positive in the present tense about the good teams here. Either a team "was great" like the 85 Bears or the 90's Bulls; or a team has a possibility of being great, like the Bears and Bulls now. But he never says "Yeah they are playing really well right now!" He says "If they can do this, blah blah ana ana that, THEN they can be great"...he hates Chicago more than Eric Thesilliest. And I don't think he gets much love from regular fans out on the street.

He'll say he doesn't talk all up on the Bulls for example, because he'll say he's a Mavericks fan. But he won't ever stop talking about how great the Suns are or how much potential Orlando or whatever has.


But he's never really here anyway...

Sean just said he didn't pick against the Bears all post-season. Did I miss something here? I swear he picked the Seahawks. Or was this one of his I picked the Bears on this show, Seahawks on another show. As a matter of fact, Season said on this show Monday that he picked the Seahawks, picked the Saints, and doggone it I'm going to pick the Colts. I am absolutely positive that the Sean admitted he picked the Seahawks, not the Bears, just two days ago.

He waffled so much on the Seahawks pick I can't remember now; I think he may have picked the Bears but you may be right.

Again, though, when he was wrong, it's just "picks". But if he's right, he's the KING.
