The Missouri -2.5 against Iowa line smells fishier than Lindsay Lohan after a bender on a hot Las Vegas weekend.

NC State +3.

Waiting for +3 to show with Iowa, then I'm in with the Hawkeyes.

I see it at 3 now. I feel shaky on this pick because it is not really logical. Maybe it will get to 3.5 in the next 4 hours.

Iowa +3, -115
It's not "logical" because Iowa lost its best receiver and its top two RBs. Or maybe it's not logical because Iowa stumbled to the finish line. It is very logical though if you think the underdog has the best unit on the field with its defensive line and defense generally.

3-1 in bowls. Lean to two dogs today (ECU +7.5, Arizona +4.5) but haven't pulled the trigger on either yet.

Illinois-Baylor OVER 63 (current line)
Illinois has had trouble containing mobile QBs and Baylor can't stop the run. Looks like two offenses that should have their way much of the game.

3-2 in Bowls

Happy New Year.

Sometimes, when we do this, we like to think we know something about football. That isn't a profitable approach for me. I don't know squat about football, so the fact I think Wisconsin is the better team is mostly irrelevant.

Other times we like to think we know something about markets. That reading says TCU. When the public lines up on one side so heavily, the win rate is not good. The market play here is fade the public.

I did buy Wisconsin +3 tickets, but I am now looking to buy Tcu at -3 or better and am waiting to see if a -2.5 will show. At kickoff, I will have a net position on TCU.

Good luck all.

Just being honest:

I took Coast's "official" action on Baylor/Illinois (over) and the the "unofficial" on a couple others on/around that same day (including ECU).

I did not win one game while in Vegas.

Are you guys suprised, the national title game spread is still 2.5-3, when people talked about the game when it first came out, it sounded like the spread could be 20 and Auburn would cover easily, or are people waiting and let the Oregon money come in and then on Monday pound Auburn.

They say people like favorites and hearing national people talk, I would have thought Auburn be favored by 5 or 6.

It usually goes this way. The favorite is loved early, and the love for the dog comes later.

It seems to me that Auburn has come from behind in all of their big games this year. I think the Oregon +.5 for both the 1st Quarter and 1st Half is worth a play. If I was an Oregon backer those would be my plays rather than the game line.

I hope Oregon wins tonight, and if they lose, I hope it's not big.
