I was reading the Yahoo NFL mock draft and the Bears are said to be looking at Penn State LB Paul Posluszny . The Bears are expected to either trade Briggs or let him find work with another NFL team next year .

I think the Offense needs to be tweaked and to do that I think the Bears package the 1st and second round pick and move up and take either Ted Ginn or go after Cal RB Marshawn Lynch . I would not be upset if the Bears went after 0-linemen in the first couple of rounds.

I know Jerry does not like to draft offenseive players but we need play-makers .

If you trade Briggs, you have absolutely no one with the experience to step in and start for 16 games. They would almost certainly have to draft an LB unless they think Jamar Williams can fill the bill.

It would be odd if the Bears traded Briggs and Jones only to draft a LB and RB in the first two rounds.

My guy at RB is Irons out of Auburn. I think he can be had in the second. I don't think the Bears need to draft an RB and certainly not someone that high. I would rather sign a veteran.

Looks like you can add another position to the needs list. Safety.

That position was already there for me. I I had seen enough of Todd Johnson and Cameron Worrell anyway. I assume Brendan Mc Gowan comes back to fill one position and the other is filled via the draft.

I love LaRon Landry out of LSU. He put on a show at the combine so we will not get him. Merriwether out of the U is the next choice. While he may be there, he is a problem. I imagine the beloved will get someone in round 3 or later.

I think Ginn would be a big mistake.

The Bears are not going to draft a running back in the first 2 rounds. Jerry Angelo likes Peterson as a back up more then you guys think. He thinks that position is fine and I agree with him.

I agree BD. The Bears have said they will look at Hester at WR but I think the safe pick would be Ginn . His size and speed is Randy Moss like. If anything the Bears make a deal with the Raiders and get Moss. I think a 2nd or 3rd round pick should get you his services.

I think Jerry could of held out and got a lot more for Jones. I don't think Jerry is done wheeling and dealing .

I agree. Part of Ginn's value is his ability in the return game. With Hester, that part of the team is solid. So, in order to get Ginn, the Bears would be drafting him a lot higher than they should for what they need him for.

Ive stated in S & R forum that I wouldn't mind seeing Hester as a third down back for draws, swing passes and screens. Ginn is not necessary because they have Hester for return game and Berian for WR. Hopefully, Bradly will be healthy next year too.

If the Bears are counting on Brandon McGowan to do anything, they're crazy. In two NFL seasons, he's had two major injuries--a torn ACL and a torn achilles. He appears to be far more injury-prone than Mike Brown. In light of Brown's recurring health problems and Danieal Manning's inability to play effectively in the cover-2, the Bears have serious problems at safety. It will be interesting to see what they do with that position. For what it's worth, I thought D. Manning was much more effective playing man coverage in dime packages than as a starting safety playing zone.
