If the Bears are counting on Brandon McGowan to do anything, they're crazy. In two NFL seasons, he's had two major injuries--a torn ACL and a torn achilles. He appears to be far more injury-prone than Mike Brown. In light of Brown's recurring health problems and Danieal Manning's inability to play effectively in the cover-2, the Bears have serious problems at safety. It will be interesting to see what they do with that position. For what it's worth, I thought D. Manning was much more effective playing man coverage in dime packages than as a starting safety playing zone.
