There has got to be more to this Rios "announcement". Kenny says he told Ozzie not to worry about salary. Put the best team out there that can win. Rios has sucked but you could bat him ninth, hope he plays solid defense like he's suppose to, and protect the pitchers. That would be a better option than ever playing Dunn. Especially against lefties. Cant hit. Cant run. Cant field.

I'm for benching Rios but how can you do that and not park Dunn? Shit, you can DH Pierre or Carlos (if he stays) and play defense. I think any scmuck from AAA can hit what Dunns hitting.

Well at the time, he was saying Kenny is a top 5 GM. Kenny always wanted Rios and Chris Young was bad at baseball.

Here's the problem with Rongey. When an angry fan calls in to suggest the Sox bench Rios, he high horses him in a bernsteinesque slow voice explaining, as if to a child, why the Sox could not and would never do such a thing. What he doesn't seem to understand is how goddamn foolish he looks now that they have done it.

You wuold think so. I don't think Rios is near as immovable as Soriano is. And Dunn has sucked this year for sure, but I do not see him hitting .200 with 16HRs next year. He will do better.
