Here is another. Sorry Nas.
I also find some good stuff on me thinking Tyrus Thomas will become great.

I would like to know what the basketball sages of the board--Nas, FavreFan, Bagels, etc--think the ceiling is for Beasley. Who will he be next year? In three years? In five years? And how does his potential compare to Rose's? Mike DeCourcey says Beasley may be a 24 and 10 guy as soon as next year, but he also argues that Beasley will never have a dominant low-post, back-to-the-basket game and won't be able to overpower opponents at the next level. This assessment strikes me as a bit enigmatic, so I'd like to hear the detailed analyses of the CSFMB basketball intelligentsia. Is Beasley a game-changer or not? A future top ten player, or something less? And why? Paint me a picture, gentlemen.
Edit: And FavreFan, I know you're not a big college basketball guy, but I still want your thoughts.
Beasley is a freak of nature. The guy can do it all and will only get better. I think he is a combination of Duncan and KG (more KG) but with better ball handling skills and range. He will be a high turnover guy for a few years (as most big men are) but I wouldn't worry about his low post game or getting overpowered. Most big men that come in the league are not physically mature (Howard being an exception) and none of them have great post moves. That will come with time. I see him being close to 15 and 10 next year and in 3 or 4 years being one of the best big men in the game. Top 10 player? It's possible. When you consider how many good big men are in the game and the type of mismatch he creates for all of them with his skill set I can't see how it isn't likely.
What a lot of people are forgetting is that Beasley was the consensus #1 pick throughout the year and did nothing to make anyone think differently. I think people tend to remember what is fresh. Most remember what Rose did in the tournament and that has elevated their opinion of Rose and diminished what Beasley consistently did throughout the season. They don't remember that Rose was up and down all season and had some terrible games. IMO Rose is a little more raw than Beasley. Beasley has the highest floor and Rose has a slightly higher ceiling.
