Fuck. That was the greatest WS game I have ever seen. Wow.

Now I think Carpenter & the Cards win the Series.

Fuck.

Nolan is not a happy Nolan. He looks like he wish Ventura were charging him right about now.

If the Cardinals win this series, I will be happy for the organization and their fans. And their Harvey Two-Faced HOF manager. The CUB are coming for you bastards. In 2014.

Have to be the heavy favorites with Carpenter going.

Wow... what a game... I mean really, sometimes people say that, but that is the game to end all games. Sloppy as hell but what a finish. They should end the series at 3-3 because this won't be topped.

Huge choke by Rangers. Can't have Oliver starting an inning with a 2 run lead. Blow 2 2-run leads in clinching spots. Cards win tomorrow night. I thought for sure we were heading to a Hamilton relapse tour this offseason.

I'd picture Ron Washington as an accountant Kramer turned him onto.

Thats like calling Charles Manson the voice of the Summer of Love. You can't call someone the voice of a generation if the vast majority of that generation thinks you're an egotistical, dick-riding cocksucker.

What a game!

First words out of McCarver's mouth after the pandemonium: "How did this happen?"

I'm happy for you Lipid. However, if I ever have an army ready to go to baseball battle, it will get ugly.

By the way, one more game.

what an unbelievable game

corny, but thats what dreams are made of...ur not supposed to clutch-hit like that in the World Series

my TV went out on me tonight and I had to listen to it on the radio with Dan Schulman on the call

i felt like i was in 1960 without a TV and only a radio

I was on the phone with my uncle talking baseball, finishing up a cigarette when he told me "Jimmy, David Freese is going to hit a HR to win this game" --- indeed, he called it something like 30-45 seconds before it happened.

It was then that we both came to the immediate realization that we had just witnessed "The David Freese Game."

Now, will "The David Freese Game" end up being something timelessly huge like "The Kirk Gibson Game" ?? That depends if the Cardinals can finish game 7. I'll let SHARK fill you in on the proper details for the game, as doing so would effectively be above my paygrade, however, I can tell you that the immediate legacies (i'll take 'oxymorons' for $500, alex) of both Freese and Pujols would rely heavily on winning game 7, although moreso freese cuz for better or worse, even if he goes 0-3 with 2 walks tomorrow, pujols will forever go down history alongside only babe ruth and reggie jackson as men who have hit 3HR in a single world series game. Whether or not "The David Freese Game" has a shot at being as beloved as "The Kirk Gibson Game" is wholly on dependant on whether or not the Cardinals win the world series. If they do, you gotta figure that Freese has the inside track at world series MVP, right? I mean already, win or lose, he's on the free lunch circuit for life in St Louis, riiiiiight?

Over in #hardball on efnet, whilst many were calling this the greatest world series game EVER after the first comeback (where i was prescient in saying another comeback + victory = all-time game) the fact remains to win them over for life the Cardinals have to win the damn series. No matter what happens tho, the refrain of many #hardball faithful was "this is why we watch the game" --- truer words have never been spoken.

It would be more likened to the Carlton Fisk game; however, the Fisk game is infinitely more memorable and impactful because of his reaction after he hit the ball. I dont see this being the "The David Freese Game".

Isn't that the Denkinger game? I don't think it's forgotten by Cardinal fans.

I just mean when people talk about crazy game 6's they usually think of 75 86 and even 02 before Denkinger.

That was another crazy one considering the Royals won game 7.

one strike away twice and think about how many pitches were thrown with 2 outs. Every pitch that was thrown could have won the WS theoretically

Thats craaaaazy
