Fisher wasn't creative and I don't remember him being particularly good at coaching through adversity.

In your opinion he wasnt created.

In mine he was. He won a lot of different ways with different cores of players.

Regardless, I want the Bears to have a great coach. They currently do not.

I hear you but how many "great" coaches exist right now? Like 8? I just don't see your reasoning here, it sounds like making a change just for changes sake. Lovie is a more proven coach that almost everyone who is available. Fisher didn't really win a bunch of different ways. When he had an MVP QB, an All-Pro RB, and a top ranked defense he almost won a super bowl and had some good regular seasons. Aside from that he's been below average in terms of production.

So about the same?

I believe Lovie has had more talent.

But like I said, Pete Carroll had a way better record than Bellicheck.

We need to find the next Bellicheck.

Its not just that.

I think its a bad thing to have a Defensive minded head coach in a time where defense has never mattered less.

I dont think the Bears are winning a Super Bowl with Lovie, so in my mind there is no reason to keep him around.

Several weeks ago when the Bears were 7-3 and rolling you didn't at least consider them a contender?

Not to win the Super Bowl.

I expected them to lose to the Saints or Packers.

Realistically, filling 4 of these holes in the draft and free agency would be the best case scenario probably.

Well I dont consider RB a hole. This team needs a LT. A REAL LT.

Nice pick for a sleeper but he had a knee injury.

Which means he was probably on Angelo's board.

No one is giving the Bears a 4th round pick for Hester.

Bears have two 3rd rounders via the Olsen trade

4 picks in the top 83 selections is a nice start for a new GM
