I'm not sure I'm sold on the Brewers/Cubs game tailgate thing tho. Showing up at a bar 3.5 hours before tip makes more sense to me. However, I will say the Sox game tailgate that a few of us did was pretty sweet. I'm not sure why the Sox game was "more fun" overall. I think it probably had something to do with having the worst seats ever at the Brewers game. Nevertheless, the Brewers game day felt rushed for some reason.

btw: If we ever wanted group tix for a Wolves game, my cousin knows everyone in Wolves ticketing from setting up youth hockey events and whatnot. So, that could be a cheaper option down the road...
Probly cuz you didn't stay up there. I had a blast that weekend. Would definitely do another Brewers game regardless of who they were playing. I'd be down for a Wolves game too believe it or not.

in lieu of many saying it was nice to meet me, i just wanna reiterate for everyone who (wisely) doesn't wanna fuck with my 68 paragraph stream of un/consciousness recap that i had a really good time meeting everyone there.

i was afraid that given my blabbermouth proclivities that i'd be seen as some sort of a demented weirdo; suffice to say. you guys are a very friendly and laid back bunch that made the outing a great time to be had.

i wish that i didn't have to run off after the game and meet my guy sharkula, but i've really gotta start putting in the effort to make some moves in the rap game. when i've got a chance to link up with a cat whose got more connections in the industry than me (0) and mastermind a few tracks we're gonna do together, i gotta make the most of it.

long story short: next time i come out for a board event i'll make sure i've got more time to kick back and down a few beers/bowls/broads/anything-excellent-that-starts-with-b with y'all.

Good meeting Phil McCracken and yes even sinicalypse.

you gotta be real here: don't forget to mention when i constructed the rudimentary lectern/podium thingy out of cardboard and gave my 25 minute speech introducing myself to everyone!

wow. this meetup was huge in that i'm going to forget the names of some of the people i met, but like, we're talking darko, imu, rpb, frank, ajent, nas/hova, douchebag, bagels, lipid, t-bone (hope the family emergency thing turned out ok! godspeed!) ivan, mccracken (when buehrle retires and puts on a few pounds he could be his body double =) shit i think kdidit was there too, doug-EP, spanky, and ummm i know i've gotta be missing a few there... i know mxdcookie was there but i didn't really meet her, and ummmmmmmm shit. basically everyone but cairo!

i got to the third rail circa ~1:35-1:40pm and just about everyone save RPB and the lodge was there. darkside is a walking talking CSFMB phenomenon... that dude is the center of the CSFMB social universe when he's around, and i have to give him props for representing the proper doublefisting up in the back row of the UC. even tho he's not into hiphop whatsoever, he's definitely not one to lose the message that luniz tried to instill in all of us with their legendary one-hit-wonder "i got five on it" --- i can gather that the annual hoedown @ darko estates must be a "thing" and i've gone as far to promise that i should have my ~30-45mins of material for a live rap show ready then so maybe if all y'all show up you can see ol boy SNOCKALPISS in his element.

for the record, it's pronounced "cynical lips" and therefore "sini" is usually like "sinny", aka rhyming with binny's beverage depot. when i first showed up people were talking like i was mt. sinai medical center or something, but such are the perils when you make up your own words. anyways, it was a hearty atmosphere as the $4 tallboy bud-lights were a-flowin' and people were getting, to use the parlance of the day, to' up from the flo' up. we did the stand around and shoot the shit thing, and one key point to point out was that a recurring theme of the night was darko being all kinds of amazed that i'm a real person. indeed, i'm not some sort of a mult, script, or "a msword file" as he had feared.... nope. i'm actually a real dude, and as he got drunker and drunker he found himself dumbfounded that, indeed, i am me.

"you're... you, you know that? you're definitely you. you're you more than anyone else is you, i mean, you're like the most you that's possible. you're you man, you are definitely you... and i'm just fucking amazed that you're real! you're you!" -- look for those words from a properly "limber" darko to end up being on my tombstone as he's got me completely figured out: i'm me.

hands down the award for best shoes of the CSFMB crowd goes to nas/hova. that dude busted out some sort of animal that died a glorious death and those things were tight. he's a cool laid back guy who wasn't what i pictured; being real here, and no offense meant, i always kind of pictured hova to be some 400lb guy in a hooded sweatshirt for some reason.... instead he's a normal slick lookin dude with a good fashion sense (i always have respect for a well dressed man) who seems to be pretty cerebral, which i figured he was since he has the ability to absolutely kick my sorry ass all over the league in fantasy baseball. respect given.

now spmack, there's a man who knows how to make an entrance. the self-proclaimed "million dollar smile" was on display as he came in to the caterwauls of everyone in attendance, and when he walked by doing the handshake shoulder bump thing i was just like "wow... this man literally leaves a pleasant fragrance when he walks by... the dude comes in layers!" and he came with ajent and ajent's friend, i believe, and welp just bein real like, a lot of times when you post on here you get these mental images of how dudes are IRL and all that, and once you see what they look like you're able to go "AHA!" and the whole board persona and veritable "superman" enabled by the relative quasi-anonymity of posting on a msgboard starts to make a whole lot of sense to you.... and like, putting faces and actual PEOPLE with the handles and avatars i've known for awhile was definitely cool. it's like the whole CSFMB phenomenon makes that much more sense.

kind of like imu... bein real, once i took in his visage IRL i was just like "OHHHH.... ok, i totally get it now. aha! ding. i got it!" and like, i was at peace atop a veritable mountain of transcendental perspective. if i was an alcoholic or something i reckon it coulda been labeled "a moment of clarity" and just like, yeah, i get it now. makes sense. imu's a perfectly cordial dude IRL and my latent fears of meeting "immessedup17" and not a dude named "eric" were immediately laid to rest. he didn't even take me up on my offer of a free beer to toast to the end of msgboard enmity, but i think the thought was there.... and that's what counts!

so yeah, after a good ~30-45 mins over @ the third rail we all headed on over to the UC and saw a terrible fucking bulls game. holy shit that was bad, all the way down to the numerous forced vintage LOL DENG! isos where he had to drive hard at the basket and flail and hope to get fouled for anything to happen. with a boring game there was plenty of room for us in the back row of the upper deck of the UC to hangout and shoot the breeze, checking out the FINEASS GIRL TO OUR LEFT IN THE BOOTS IN THE LAST ROW OF SEC 310 OH MY GOD GIRL THE NAME IS SINICALYPSE LOOK ME UP I'LL INTRODUCE YOU TO MY PERSONAL FRIEND AND BUSINESS ASSOCIATE GOD!!!

ahem, anyways yeah 'twas nice and cool and laid back and positive vibes everywhere to be found. i cracked my fair share of jokes after the game was kind of out of reach (example, in the back row checkin out my near-/dimepiece girl in boots who was hollarin @ some jewish dude who had the joakim noah facial hair and hairstyle going i'm all like "oh no, ol girl's with jewkim noah?!?! FUCKIN WEAK!!!" and i managed to do my thing and work around a fair amount, tho i kinda stayed a bit secular talkin with RPB, darko, hova, and a few other people throughout the day. hova says he's in my new baseball roto league which is now startin to blow up woo!!!

so yeah, i digress; i didn't "work the crowd" as i'm not exactly the type to do that, however, i had a glorious time meeting everyone making new acquaintances and putting faces to names....and i certainly hope that anyone who had some sort of a mental image of me being some deranged lunatic running around giving impromptu unrequited 10min lectures have been put to rest. i had an excellent time @ this outing and i'm definitely game to do more CSFMB sportsgame outings be it for hte hawks, cubs/sox, bears, you name it. it was a fun time to be had, and the only thing i missed out on was seeing our name on the big jumbotron hovering over the middle of the court.... that woulda been a slick picture to get, but i reckon someone else prolly got it.

alas, there was no picture of everyone there in the quintessential group shot, but i know darko was sending pictures over to biggie so i'm in one of those. evidently biggie told darko to stop sending him pictures of everyone there giving him the salute; ironically enough, that was not the best way to stop pictures from getting sent to him as it only awakened the inner anti-authoritarian punkrockedness that said "FUCK IT WE'RE TAKING MORE PICTURES HERE WE GO EVERYONE WOOO!!!!"

alas, i had to cut out early when everyone went back to the third rail after the game... i was meeting up my guy sharkula to cop a CD off of him (he has to sell rap CDs to eat, etc) and talk about some tracks we're gonna work on for a mixtape over the next few weeks, as i need to get way better at writing/recording/performing raps to the point where i can go from being a guy who raps to a RAPPER. right when i left the third rail i nearly got into a fistfight with some short little pudgy yuppie whiteboy dipshit who accused me of "cockblocking" as i walked east on madison trying to hail a cab, even tho i was on the other side of the street.

dude talked MAD SHIT to me and must have been trying to show off to the chicks with his party, cuz he came across the street like "you wanna go?" and i'm like "are you asking me on a date?" and he's like "don't get smart with me" and i'm like "so you're a dumbass kid who is intimidated by intelligence then?" and he was really asking for it, i mean, seriously he started shoving on me and shit tryin to talk all in my face like "smell my bad breath" but seeing as i was like 8" taller than him, that was impossible. he was drunk and i wasn't even buzzin or anything so yeah, i could have junked the motherfucker right there on the spot and i think any witnesses woulda had my back... and the kid really wanted it... i asked him straightup "what are you looking to do here? quoteth jay-z 'i'm a motherfucking problem: is this what you want?' i mean seriously kid what do you hope to gain from this endeavor here? i really don't want to hurt you"

cue typical "MAN U THINK YOU'RE HOT SHIT DONT YOU COMEON PUSSY I BET YOU DON'T HAVE THE BALLS YOU PIECE OF SHIT... FUCKING TUPAC SHIRT... WIGGER PIECE OF SHIT COMEON YOU WIGGER SCUM START SOMETHING THAT I'LL FINISH I DARE YOU I DARE YOU" so i just kind of yelled across the street "I PRAY THAT BOTH OF YOU LADIES CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS KID" and started to walk away, so he str8up smacked me in the back of the head but i was like "you gotta be the better man, james, you gotta be better than this.... it's just not worth it you have nothing to prove and everything to lose" --- of course, he was hootin and hollarin like I KNEW YOU WERE PUSSY!! U FUCKING BITCH!!! DAMN RIGHT RUN AWAY GO CALL MOMMY!! GO CALL THE COPS!! YOU DON'T WANT NONE OF THIS!!!

for the record, i texted two chicks right away like "should i junk him?" and both said "oh hell yeah" but i'm really trying to be nice here. i bring out the best in people like that.

so yeah, from there met my guy twisted a cpl up kicked some frees for the pocketrecorder figured out subject matters ofr a couple'a songs we're gonna endeavor to record within a few weeks, and caught a decent metra trip home. all in all, a nice productive day that cost me less than $25 for the whole bulls game experience, allowed me to meet some good CSFMB people, and of course, nearly get in a fistfight with a drunken clown for having the audacity to try and hail a cab circa ~1000 W. madison ave. long story short guys, the cab game is foreal down there and whatever you do don't cockblock.... even when my ~10 minute walk down madison featured **0 CABS GOING BY IN EITHER DIRECTION ** that's right, that dipshit kid and his friends prolly spent ~10 minutes there standing around trying to hail a cab that wasn't even going to come, while i got down to halsted got my cab to wicker park and b00m i'm out like a fat kid in dodgeball.

so yeah, short of having OKC show up and kick a free with me on the walk over to the game, this was just about as good as i could imagine it going. thanks to douchebag for putting this all together and thanks to all of you wacky and wild CSFMBers for being.... you. cuz much like it's astonishing that i'm me and i'm more me than anyone else, the same can be said for you. just ask darko when he's got a few in him and he's doublefisting the next round =D

Seriously though much props to Douchebag for setting up this event so I could see the single worst Bulls performance I have ever seen in person. But it was interesting meeting everybody. Phil McCracken's third person take aways.....

W_Z is one of the funniest dudes I have ever met

IMU is surprisingly pretty chill

Darkside is crazy exuberant......Look it's Mark Burhele!!!!!!!

RPB is being RPB just like Manny is being Manny

Honestly I had a great time and it was good to get out and meet some of you pantsless internet cretins.

One Love.....Phillip Seymore McCracken esq.

This was by far the strangest dude at the place I thought for sure he was a CSFMB member....I go to order a beer and he looks at me and is like are you drinking? I am like yeah man whats up....he's like oh you probably look down on me huh? I am like what makes you say that. He's like oh yeah well cause I am from UIC not that fancy champaign shit huh? For a moment I thought it was one of Dr. Ken's servants pulling my leg. Just glad it wasn't Panther and I didn't have to use the tazer I brought.

Edit: Phil McCracken hates U of I and had no Illini swag on. Weird.

It was nice to finally meet an old time guy like Frank and put some faces to some names. Sini made a death wish by challenging me. Darkside's wife was really nice (not sure why she would marry an asshole like him). When she told me I reminded her of Carlton I tried to find my OKC outrage but I couldn't pull it off. I also made a vow to never show up at another board event because I'm better than all of you.

So that was fun.
