Mackey, Mackey, Mackey!!!!

I'm one of the many who were EXTREMELY disappointed in you not knowing Def Leppard from Metallica or Iron Maiden in your talk about the Alice Cooper/Iron Maiden show. :( :( :(

I grew up on Metallica and they are legends! C'mon! Whether they're sellouts or not is up for debate, but their influence on rock is monumental! \mm/

Even if you can't stand the crunchy and thrashy guitar and drums for most of the song, you cannot deny the sheer beauty of the bridge and the Kirk Hammet solo....gives me chills and a tear at times. 8) 8)

Yeah, not knowing the difference between Iron Maiden, Metallica etc is pretty lame, Mac.

When someone is so far behind in music that he's not caught up to the early to mid 80's that's an issue.

He's still on ELO and just cracked open Bostons 2nd album....I predict that will set him back musically at least 5 years.

Well, in his defense, everything in the mid 90's sounds like either the Gins Blossoms, Oasis or Spin Doctors. :( :puker: bad :silent:

(I threw in Oasis for RPB reaction)

Oasis was technically pretty good it's just dude is a complete unlikeable jackass, and they were boring.

I can't complain about boring too much as a Pink Floyd fanatic I guess but even that being said I wasn't much of a fan. Solid tunes though. If that makes any sense.

Yeah, I'll give Oasis that, Darko. Good song writers, I suppose. They just made me zzzzzz..... :| Shleepy.....

And I find Pink Floyd to be interesting if nothing else, especially the early Barret (sp?) stuff.

How about this billing with Nazareth in '85? Right up your alley, no?

Seems like the point I was trying to make still is lost. I should articulate better. Then again...I don't really care enough. I don't care what music people like and don't like. And I certainly couldn't care less what anybody thinks about what I like or don't like.

Mac...I made the analogy for myself for 90's music too. Actually, I'm kind of lost myself on the new metal of the 2000's....or is that the aughts?

I thought you would've gotten a kick out of this music talk, not get upset about it. :?
