Hmm, Dan and Terry get lots of free White Sox stuff.

The Orioles got some real good gifts last night too....when I read that the closer almost had strike 3 on a 2-2 count, I bet Hawk went nuts!

Yarr. And this segue from "We don't understand/give a shit about hockey" to "black guy hats/irreverent Terry sounds" was less than smooth, but much needed.

It was a long time ago so I don't remember exactly, but North got aggressive with Isiah in the interview. North has his ideas about hoops. He overvalues the skills he believes he has. He tried to frame the discussion as if he was a guy who played the game. Mike North thinks because he can pop a three at the Park Ridge senior center it's the same as hitting one with a "bad" defender like Micheal Ray Richardson on him.

No, they are the 5th. If there were more foreigners in Chicago they would be behind the Fire. Or more 6' Lesbians they would be behind the Sky.
1) Bears
2) Bulls or Cubs
3) Cubs or Bulls
4) White Sox
5) Hawks

People jumped on bandwagon when they won, now it is emptying quickly.

Bulls and Hawks are 4 and 5. Come on now with the Bulls being 2nd in the city. After the Bears it rotates on who is good, if the Bulls didn't get Rose no one would be watching and same with the Hawks if they sucked.

And if any of us had lives this board would be empty. They do have Rose and they are good so interest in them is high now. Point that we agree on is Hawks are 5th, not close to cracking the top 3 unless they make the finals.

This is an easy list to make. Just by looking at television ratings, it's an easy choice.

1. Bears
2. Bulls
3. Cubs
4. Sox
5. Hawks

How can we compare television ratings when the supply of games for each is so radically different?

Arithmetic Mean and price for 30-seconds of commercial air-time are two different factors, which I'm quite confident would support the provided list above (never mind common sense/deductive reasoning).

Huh? Obviously airtime is going to cost more when you provide more eyeballs.

I suppose if you want to use such ratings to compare the Bulls and the Hawks who have very similar schedules at the same time of the year, it may be germane. I certainly don't think the Bulls are more popular than either Chicago baseball team.

Cubs, Sox, and Bulls are probably interchange based on current success of the teams. Right now, both baseball teams have zero prospects for this season, so I would rank them below Bulls.

At lot of people think the Bulls have zero prospects for the season.

From a % of games watched of a total season (for any particular individual) I would think the Bulls and Hawks get more views than the Cubs and Sox. I certainly watch more Hockey and Basketball than Baseball...and I'm more of a fan of Baseball than Hockey and Basketball....
However, if you asked some random girl off the street who her favorite Chicago Sports Team is, the answer will be Cubs or Bears 90% of the time, depending on the season.

Let me point out once again, that the championship with by far the least amount of randomness to it is the college football championship known as the BCS. Would Bernstein say that is better than the significantly more random NFL playoffs?

Oh, but Bernstein hates the spread offense so that one sucks too.

I turned it back on....

So the Bulls aren't D-Roses primary employer?

Deng should sit for the rest of the year so he can get healthy for the next season?

Bulls talk brought to you buy: WTF.
