Hopefully they'll give Crawford, Bruno, O'Donnell, and Morrison a viking funeral at midnight.

Thanks for nothing Crawford. Enjoy sucking at your job somewhere else next year.

How many have the Hawks put past Smith tonight?

Smith had a helluva game - can't take that away from him. Crawford let in 3 softees.

So he let in 1 legit goal and they still lose.

I am pretty sure a viking funeral is just doing lines off strippers on a sex boat in Minnesota

That Goalie performance by Mike Smith is one of the greatest that I have ever seen in the 40 years that I have been watching Hockey. That was probably Crawfords last game as a Blackhawk.

Also, do the Hawks lead the league in shots that miss the net?

A 1-0 game the last 10 min is a lot different than a 3-0 game and you know it. Don't be like that.

You obviously don't watch a lot of hockey.

To the untrained eye I guess I can see where you might think you were watching a goalie performance for the ages, but in reality Smith played good, but not great. He was rarely challenged. I don't remember him making any unbelievable saves in the entire series, never really came out and robbed anyone of a clear goal. He was weak upstairs and got beat there on nearly every shot that went there. Unfortunately, there in lies the problem...Hawks never got the puck up. Put everything at his pads where he's strong.

He also let in some softies earlier in the series.

He played well, was big in his net, and read the play perfectly. But, to say he was great is a huge falacy.

There have been literally 100s of better goaltender performances in NHL playoff history. If you want to see one that was clearly better go watch JS Giguere when he won the Conn Smythe despite losing the Cup. Pick any series from that run and you'll find him playing MUCH better than Smith.

I stand by my statement. He had a great series against the Hawks & his game 6 performance was great.

Great series, yes. Greatest performance ever...no. The Blackhawks put a lot of shots on goal, but quality scoring chances were not above average.

Agreed with dewskie and shakes. It got to the point last night where Pat and Eddie were making sarcastic remarks about the Hawks inability to get the pucks up last night. It's pretty bad when the hometown broadcast crew can't contain their hostile thoughts.

Last nights game could have been a blowout in the 1st period. Mike Smith single handily kept his team in the game while his team mates were nowhere to be found. He stood his head all night.
Anytime a Goalie faces 39 shots & stops all of them...ON THE ROAD, its a great performance. If Crawford had a game like that he would be all the rage around here & anointed as he second coming of Espo.

Just imagine the Hawks with Smith between the pipes...

Kane seems to miss the net alot...he tries to go high but misses the goal.

I liked what I saw out of Jimmy Hayes the past couple of games, a big guy that will actually win some board battles. Don't find that much on the Hawks.
