I was part of a group that got to sit in the studio during their heyday (I know...you're happy for me). It was pretty interesting and they were both very nice. Jim Johnson was not particularly sociable though.

They had a very good run. I listened to Roe pre-Garry but could not continue post. Garry was the perfect foil for Roe's nuttiness. I have been meaning to give him and Roeper a listen but just have never got around to it. Anyone else ever listen?

That's interesting because they made Jim seem really funny.

WLS may gain support from Amy Jacobson (on the lowly rated WIND), but I don't think Roe does.

I still remember 1 of their last broadcasts from the red carpet at the academy awards. IIRC Albert brooks was on and he was hilarious.

Amy Jacobson has been gone for years. WLS had a weird thing going for a while where they kept firing Christina Filiacci and replacing her with someone else, like the aforementioned Amy Jacobson or some Shadow Traffic woman with a terrible smoker voice. She would come back either as an employee or as like a personal employee of Roe himself (creepy) so that WLS didn't have to pay her, but I think she's a full-fledged employee again.

I hear bits of Roe and Roeper now and then. Kinda not good. Like you said, Roe wears on you after a while. He's been doing afternoons on 890 for good lord like 15 or 16 years now and he still rides the same bits and same Funny Voices (indiscriminate foreign guy) really hard. Roeper doesn't have a chance to wear on you because he's such a non-entity. I mean, all Richard Roeper can do even at his very worst is make you tiredly sigh and roll your eyes back a little.

Station's dropping like a rock in the Arbitrons. You could make a strong case for dumping both stale-ass drive-time shows (that Roma has been hawking those same fucking bacteria pills since I was in 8th grade! At least!), and maybe even Rush while you're at it.

Ur good buddy Panthro sexed her up back in December. We were tipping back some beers and getting tipsy.

She is one sexy minx, no lie.

Are you saying you fucked her? I mean thats what it seems like you're saying.

Did the same on New Year's Day 2011. I thought she looked like a tired and aging former hottie.
